GoogleThe team in the Airdrie branch were great, can"t thank them enough. They were very helpful and kept us informed till the end. GoogleUsed countrywide when I was buying my house, Paige arranged a viewing at really short notice, recommended a mortgage adviser and solicitor and everything was seamless from start to finish. As a first time buyer it made the whole process easy and kept the stress levels to a minimum. Would recommend.

GoogleAvoid selling with Countrywide Glasgow - West End Sales if you want to be sure you will sell for the highest available offer. Here was my experience with them. I am currently a first time buyer. The number one priority for me is that the property is in a good school catchment area and that any other schools in the area are also good. That way when my son starts school next year he will have the best chance of attending a good school. This has proven to be quite difficult, it does seem after all of the research I have put into Glasgow primary schools that it is rare that 2 or more good schools are next to each other. Anyway eventually I found a property online on Raeberry Street, North Kelvinside that met my requirements. The problem was I work 50 hours a week and live in Edinburgh so getting to Glasgow for a viewing was taking me a few days. I did have a viewing booked that I had to cancel. I called Countrywide to cancel but informed them that I am very interested in the property, but I didn't want to make an offer until I had a viewing. So I asked them to make a note of interest for me and to call me if any other offers are going to be made. They said this was no problem and they would put me down as a verbal note of interest. They confirmed that they would contact me if any other offers or notes of interest were made so I would have the opportunity to bid too before it sold. A few days later i went online to look at the property, I was confused and disappointed to see that it was "sold subject to contract". I called up to find out what was going on and why I hadn't been contacted before it was sold. The explanation I got was that because it was a verbal note of interest they did not contact me because it has to be an official note of interest made through a solicitor. This would have been very useful information if they had informed me before the property had been sold and when I had previously called. I then asked what the purpose was of a verbal note of interest if contact is only made on an official note of interest. The reply I got basically said a verbal note of interest is pointless. If I had been told this when I originally called about my note of interest I would have made an official note of interest through my solicitor. What they told me though when I originally called was completely contradictory to this. I also have reason to believe that this property sold for under the market value. I was willing to pay the market value so it seems that countywide failed to get the seller the money that they should have got them. Considering the huge amount of money that an agent receives when a property sells, this level of incompetence is not acceptable. I missed out on the opportunity they should have given me to make an offer, and the seller lost money. For the record I do want to say that the person that answered the phone James Robertson was very professional and apologetic. Regardless though I am very unhappy with this company. They sell a lot of properties so as a buyer it is difficult to avoid them. But if you are a seller I would recommend finding a different agent to sell with. You will be paying them a lot of money so make sure you choose an agent that will do what you pay them to do.

GoogleReally good experience with Countrywide on the recent sale of my 2 bed flat. From meeting Gavin when he came to discuss the sale it was clear he was very professional and knowledgeable in his field. Once the process was started Bobby and his team (Megan and James) were fantastic. Calling every day to arrange viewings as well as to provide feedback on prior viewings and where the process was at as well as giving regular updates and advice on what happens next. As a first time seller these guys made it an easy seamless process, kept me informed and advised throughout and removed my concerns that selling a house was an extremely stressful thing to do. These guys made sure it wasn't! Flat sold over home report in less than 2 weeks with 4 offers on the table. Thanks again guys, James.

GoogleIn order to rent out my property, I visited several letting agencies in Glasgow's West End. I felt Countrywide then offered the warmest welcome and the most personal service. I let my house through the Byers Road branch (as it now is) for around four years and I found the service exemplary - always personal, but also speedy, efficient, thorough, reliable and clear. So much so, that, when I eventually came to sell the house, I went to Countrywide as the Estate Agent of my choice.

GoogleWe chose Countrywide Westend from our shortlist of possible Agents primarily because of Gavin's visit to our property in Glasgow's West End. He was very professional and personable and gave us confidence that Countrywide would do the very best for us. After that, most of our interactions were with Megan who was also wonderful. Very responsive, calm and level-headed in dealing with our concerns. We had a range of prices in mind that we expected/hoped our property would sell for, but it went pretty quickly for a price above that range, and we have the team at Countrywide to thank for that.

GoogleJust horrible, and I'm stuck with them now. As I landlord I advise you to stay away from this agency, they've not done one thing right since I started to work with them. Very unprofessional, they will lie to you whenever it suits them, and you need to call at least 3 times to remind them to send you documents or do smtg, and like this is not enough, it's been two weeks since the tenants moved into my property and I've not received money yet .. Still waiting and after confrontating them twice, they just told me " ill send a message to the headoffice"... Really now?... And I'll probably have to call everyday to remind them to do so now, cause they usually forget everything you ask after you hang up
