Posting for a colleague: "When I moved in to my flat I was happy with the service I had been provided. Unfortunately, however, just before Christmas, someone in the area gained a leak. This person's leak is above my bathroom somewhere. The agent has been trying to tell me that until the leak's been fixed, there's nothing they can do. Since just before Christmas, my bathroom has gone from an inanimate room with a minor drip to being perhaps another month away from sentience. The mould has been steadily building up, and while I would love to welcome this new creature, now named Dave, into my abode, I'm not sure we'll get on well as my eczema has returned. This estate agent has no interest in my well-being; rather it wants me to stay there quietly so it can collect its profit each month."

Reserved a house for rental on 8 Jan 2018 to be ready for 01 Mar 2018. Needed refurbishment and a new kitchen. No problem I was told. Two weeks later I told them that no work had been carried out on the house. No problem, the works will start in February. There did seem to be some evidence of works being carried out as a white van was often parked on the drive along with a skip. When we viewed on 28 Feb 2018 NOTHING had been done. CHOICES had not checked and made some excuse about not having a key. So much so I ended up in hospital because of the stress and we have had to put our furniture in storage and are staying in a hotel. There are plenty of Letting Agents - I would advise you to use someone else.

For 4 months I have had outstanding maintenance issues including mold a toilet not flushing. These have all been ignored despite repeated calls. Choices do not care about their tenants. Find another company. Edit: over a month and many calls from myself, almost nothing has changed. Major issues are outstanding and the only reply is "nothing has happened". The only response was when they saw my review, a sign that the customer is not the priority at all. Choices, why do you think this is OK?

My god these agents are tyrannical in the way they treat tenants. Constant harassment as they want to sell the property and want showings for potential buyers or new tenants (as we are leaving due to the House being for sale). After weeks of dry heat there were weeds in the front yard and they reported it through the Bond company. Didn't even email to ask me why it was slightly overgrown. A week after I was able to tend to the garden they email saying a contractor will clean it and I will be charged. STAY AWAY FROM CHOICES! They are very expensive with charges, and do all they can to access your bond.

I have rented through them twice. 1st time I was dealt with by Helen. Nothing was too much for her, she even came to pick me up so I could do the paper eork on time as my lift let me down. 2nd time Megan looked after me showing me a couple of properties which were both excelent, Megan had listened and took my needs into account and Raimonda was always helpful when I popped in. With both moves lettings admin looked after me with all the paper work (not my strong point) and made things easy. Chocolates on the way team!!!!!!

I am very unhappy with this estate agent. Not only does there appartment have rats and mice inside they also have a dodgy agent who i have been dealin with and just fixes cheaply and pointless and in the end they ignore all your messages and let you do things yourself. I have kids in the house yet im now struggling having rats and mice in and out as i have also discovered there is a whole rite underneath the front door where the rats keep coming in. i Cannot even sleep any more as i am constantly worried they will creep into the bedroom whilst we asleep. Im stressed with the issue and yet i have no help. Please if you can stay away from this agency and use other agents who will care about their tenants and actually keep their properties pest free. They should know that it is a legal requirement to do so.

Avoid like the plague!!! As someone that has been with various agency's over the years, choices has been a devastating experience. Getting us a flat Richard was great and I can't fault him. The company on the other hand, before we had even signed a contract. They changed all of the bills into our name which meant the landlord was un able to access his account and we were legally responsible before we even signed a deposit over. They sent our details out to third party suppliers so we were receiving calls for things like broad band for the property for several months again before we signed anything!When we asked the landlord about it, they had told him we had done it. When trying to leave this property choices lived up to the nightmare. It took two months for us to get our deposit back from them. Whilst trying to deal with it they constantly told us the landlord wasn't playing ball. So we sat down with our landlord and called them. As predicted they tried to blame the landlord (who was a star in all this chaos) they got caught out lying persistently. After making me send my bank details to them several times, they wanted a forwarding address. I told them they needed to send it via transfer which they said was totally fine. A week later I received a cheque in the mail for half of my deposit and half for my partner. Now we finally have our deposit back we can attempt to find a new place again. I'd recommend avoiding this company as a tenant and a landlord!

Absolutely awful at corresponding. I emailed and rang several times about issues with the property and got a response almost two months later. The property was not up to the standard of the tenancy agreement and the agent certainly did not relay this information to the landlord. Correspondence was absolutely superb in the lead up to the payment of the agency fees...and shockingly sparse following. This is simply not up to any desirable standard of customer service. It is obvious that this agency feels it is acceptable to not take student tenants seriously. Choices are very unprofessional.

I am so happy that I decided to go with choices for renting my flat. I am very happy with the service that was provided,my agent was very friendly,helpful & professional at the same time. Initally I called up about a different property than the one I am renting now,it was no longer available but luckly I spoke to Will Donkar who recommended a flat on London road for me. The same day I had a viewing so pleased I paid my holding deposit fee. He was with me constantly every step on the way via phone & email. He would give me updates & what needs to be done next....he was so warm & welcoming made me feel like I've know him for years.
