Having read the reviews of this estate agent I was feeling quite hopeful to find a good agency during what is feeling like a battle to differentiate professional, well managed agencies from the pushy, sales orientated agents who seem to be flooding the market. I can’t actually comment on what it’s like to get near the actual agents as they have deployed a guard to man the phones that behaves like a bouncer. I found a property on RightMove, advertised at my budget, and called to make an appointment. My details were taken, and the lady was very nice until… she asked what my maximum budget is. I told her (the budget was as the price advertised…), and she replied “oh no that won’t work, the guide price is £75k more”. Feeling a bit confused as to why it was advertised at such a lower price, I asked why. What I expected was an explanation, maybe that it was in error, but instead I received a rude attitude, a patronising tone and was informed “for those that do have extra cash, but are wanting to buy in a certain bracket, but could stretch upwards”. Disappointing to see such an established agent behave so manipulatively. It simply came across that you are attempting to mislead people and the agency doesn’t actually know what the price valuation of the property is. If they did, surely they’d guide their clients correctly to a much smaller range (sellers and buyers) as opposed to providing a £75k “wiggle room”. I personally wouldn’t recommend this agent as it stands.

We cannot recommend Balgores enough. They are very professional and Alannah was so helpful from the initial enquiry to the completion of the sale. She has been available throughout to answer any queries and to put our minds at rest. One of the things we liked about Alannah was that she was honest from the outset and priced the property at a reasonable level to gain a sale as soon as possible. Balgores managed all the viewings with prospective buyers and handled this with a high degree of professionalism. Other agents will promise you the world and a higher price for your property but within weeks they will be reducing the price and backtracking to a lower sale price to gain a sale. Do not hesitate to use Balgores as they are a very professional company and will do anything to make your sale as smooth as it possibly can be. The other good thing about Balgores is that Marie progresses the sale and liaised with the other solicitors involved to make sure that the sale progressed and that any problems were ironed out at a very early stage. Well done Balgores, you have a fantastic team of people and would not hesitate to use the company again.

As always a fantastic service from The Balgores Lettings Team. This is the 2nd time I have used them and both times they were very efficient, responsive to calls, polite and extremely easy process for signing contracts etc. Michael Charles was a breath of fresh air, I never had to chase and he always returned my calls straight away. The flat went onto Rightmove on Monday at 3.00pm and by 4.00pm on Tuesday he had found a tenant. I have another property to list soon and I will 100% be using them again. Earlier this year we decided to sell our first home in Langdon Hills to upsize. We contacted a few estate agents but Dan Ismail from Balgores Basildon blew us away with his knowledge on Langdon Hills. Dan was professional yet friendly from the get go, within a couple of days our house was on Rightmove and was sold the same weekend for over asking price. Once our house was sold, it was time to start looking at houses to purchase. I gave Dan a very long list of non-negotiables for our purchase and Dan took these into account when sending potential listings our way. Dan found us our dream house in Langdon Hills and he booked us in for a viewing the very next day! The house itself has everything and more we could have wished for and ticked all our boxes, as well as, my many non-negotiables. Our offer was accepted straight away and Dan booked us into speak to Sean the Mortgage Broker. Sean got our mortgage up and running the same day and we exchanged 7 weeks later with the help of Sarah the Liaison Officer. I would really recommend the wonderful Daniel Ismail at Balgores, as he has provided an excellent service, going above and beyond. Dan has found us our dream house and if we decide to move again in the future Dan will be the only person I would call!
