FacebookWe were missold a property by Andrew Grant in August 2020, it was 1 of a 10 plot new build site and we were assured by staff at Andrew Grant that the property came with a 10 year warranty (paperwork was even sent to our mortgage provider stating there was a warranty) the road was council adopted and the sewers were adopted by Severn Trent. However when we received our search results back all of it turned out to be untrue. After being strung along for 4 months waiting for the issues to be sorted and hardly any progress being made, we have just pulled out from the purchase. This has caused us no end of stress and cost us money in solicitor fees and Andrew Grant refused to accept responsibility for their mistakes. Avoid them like the plague.

Dear Sarah We are disappointed to read this review as there are many things here that were unfortunately out of our control and that aren’t correct. We appreciate and sympathise with your frustrations but need to point out that you weren’t missold a property as you have withdrawn from the purchase so no sale has taken place. There has never been any warranty paperwork provided although we have been reassured that it is in the progress of being sought, nor can we be held responsible for the site going into administration therefore causing difficulties in getting both the roads and sewers adopted. The unexpected current demands on the property market caused by the stamp duty holiday are causing huge backlogs, so approximately a 16 week wait between offer and completion at the moment is quiet standard. Our agents and our sales progression team have attended to you regularly and updated you throughout. It is understandably very sad to miss out on what you thought was your dream home and we are here to support you, but unfortunately your conveyancing costs are part of the home buying process that again we have no responsibility over. I would highly recommend using Andrew Grant if you get an agent like Chloe working on your behalf. Chloe has been great and has made renewing our tenancy stress free. Throughout the tenancy Chloe has been on hand should we have any questions and has been quick and supportive with all her responses. Chloe has kept us informed and has been a pleasure to deal with. Great service all round.

GoogleWe recently bought a property that Andrew Grant were selling and have to say that they were the most helpful professional company to deal with. Our own agent was worse than useless however Louise Jones, the senior customer liaison agent, was a star…she was able to sort the many issues that were occurring below us in the chain and more than cover our own agents failing and non communication. She was in touch daily as the sale progressed keeping us updated and helping to make sure the sale went forward when, thanks to our own agent’s incompetence, there was a real risk of the chain collapsing. If we ever move again we will have no hesitation in using Andrew Grant and would highly urge anyone wanting to sell a house in the areas they cover to do the same.
