I have been letting in Cardiff for eight years, first as a student, now as a professional. I have had mixed experiences, mostly positive, when renting in Cardiff. This is my first time letting with Moginie James - I had heard good things about their company, and the quality of the properties that they advertised caught my attention on Rightmove. I spoke with Rhys in the Pontcanna branch about a property that seemed perfect for me and Rhys made the process so easy, I couldn’t believe it. We struggled over several months to get our property in Cardiff Bay effectively promoted with the manager John O’Connor at the Pontcanna branch; we experienced a great many unnecessary problems and pitfalls along the way. There were a few problems at the start with the writing of the property description and details. The writing had not been checked through properly, twice. It was badly written and grammatically poor. I think a strong first impression to a potential buyer is paramount, so I was disappointed. I ended up editing it myself and working with the branch manager to put it right. She went through it with me on the phone. So a slow start, but the rest was good. Cat was fantastic at communicating and keeping in touch over the Covid-19 lockdown. She dealt with my nerves in a very reassuring manner. Chris, the valuer, was so friendly and helpful and I appreciated Michelle's work to push the sale through to completion at the end. Overall, I would recommend the Pontcanna, Cardiff, branch. As a company, they need to be on top of their written work.PositiveResponsiveness

I wasn’t even going to approach a fourth agent for a valuation of my property but a neighbour recommended Moginie James SO highly, I did. That was the first stroke of good fortune. The second soon followed with an offer on my house for a price I was very happy with within a week. The third came when I needed to find a tenant urgently for a flat I own which was vacated at very short notice- again, Moginie James came up trumps- taken by the first to view it and again turned around within the same week as the house. On top of all that, they are a thoroughly lovely bunch of people, not something you often hear of their breed 🤭.

From viewing to renting in just over a week! The team at Moginie James are fantastic. Claire did a great Job of answering all the question I had about the property even though she had to rush out last minute on a Monday night to show me around! Jamie was proactive and incredibly efficient gathering all the information and responding to my concerns even though he had to deal with me answering all these questions on a call in the car that had the worst signal. Joanne wrapped up all my references, documentation and did an incredible job relaying my messages to the landlord. All this meant that the team was able to get me into the house within 10 days before my trip to the USA and I cannot thank them enough! A big shout out to Joanne and Jamie for answering all fifty of my calls I made to them throughout the week - you guys are great! I have and will be recommending Moginie James to everyone I know looking to rent in Cardiff :)
