Pulls charges from nowhere at the end of tenancies - £120 check out fee? No thanks... Staff do not return phone calls, maintainance issues are ignored.

Similar to others, there is a poor level of communication with calls not returned and maintenance issues ignored - even broken radiators in winter! Also, they faked my signature on our check-in form, of course there is "no evidence" for this, other than the fact it is not my signature! Being in communication with our landlord it appears that they have had a similar experience too.

Gem was brilliant helping me find my first property to buy! Kind, friendly and efficient service. The sellers used their solicitors though and I'm not sure they'd get five stars...

Many Thanks to Claire and Christine, indeed the whole Reeds Rains team for going above and beyond the call of duty which helped us obtain our new home. From the word go they were thoroughly professional keeping us informed at every step of our home purchase !

We worked with Reeds Rains both as landlords and sellers. They are very professional, and are always at the end of the phone to discuss any queries/concerns. We didn't get the price we were looking for on our house, but I think that is more to do with the housing market in Durham. Staff were proactive and sympathetic every step of the way.

My experience with the Durham branch was faultless, I was obviously very anxious as this was my first purchase but I would go as far to say that Gemma, Claire, Lauren x2, Jen and the Julie literally held my hand throughout the whole process. My mortgage was sorted in branch as well with Christine the mortgage advisor, I received emails from this lady at 10 o clock at night!! A fantastic lady and incredible at her job, thank you for my new home and thank you team for a first class service.

Used the Durham office five times for both buying and selling properties, always found the staff extremely efficient, helpful and courteous. Gemma and Claire are always on hand for professional advice, returning calls when promised and keeping me up to date at all stages. Christine the mortgage adviser offers great advice and is extremely knowledgeable in her field. Would not hesitate to recommend this office and use them in the future.

Bought a house recently using Reed Rains Durham Office. Gemma was the lead contact and couldn't have been more helpful, both in terms of identifying suitable properties and keeping me updated with developments and chasing up my (frankly useless) solicitors. When not available I found Lauren to be equally to the task. It was very reassuring to know that the systems they use ensured that my details and progress with my purchase could be easily accessed by other staff members and they obviously speak to each other regularly as they knew what was going on. I found the whole service fast efficient and friendly and they were of great help and reassurance throughout.

They sent me to view a property that was already sold, when I rang them to ask why they had not told me this, I was informed by a rude agent that I had not wasted my time, he knew better than me!! Sadly an agency from the 70s

Liars! I viewed a property in Scarborough (St Helen's Square) on 19/9/14. as advertised by letting agents and Estate Agents Reeds Rains, 16 Aberdeen Walk, Scarborough, North Yorkshire YO11 1XP. However, they are misrepresenting the property, looking at the various websites (Zoopla, Rightmove and Prime Location) upon which the property is listed, there are several photographs showing a pristine and 'newly renovated flat'. This is most certainly not the case. I shall list the problems: broken windows, soiled nappy on carpet, swarms of flies, missing balustrades and skirting board, damaged carpet, broken tiles in bathroom, crayon covering the walls, damp/possible leak, damaged kitchen units- and the stench! It is an outrage Reeds Rains are letting people view this property, when I complained I was told, 'the landlord insist we show it' - nothing short of disgraceful. The property had been listed on Right Move for 84 days, and why I questioned action had not been taken to rectify the issues in nearly 3 months I was lied to by Clarke a worker with Reeds Rains, 'It's just been put back on the site, and they've just moved out' he told me! He was clearly panicking on being confronted and challenged on their lies.

I recently used Reeds Rains to tenant my property and they are fantastic, very professional and gave me an executive service like no other. Would certainly recommend them. My lesson with previous agents is don't go with the cheapest fees as i did previously, the customer service usually reflects the price and it was shockingly bad.

They were always very professional and straightforward with us and worked hard to negotiate repairs and improvements with our Landlord. Dealt primarily with the Scarborough and Cheadle branches. A very pleasant letting experience.
