Generally they are fine. HOWEVER I have been a tenant for one year and several times they have performed some maintenance without scheduling a time with me. They just send their workman to do the job without giving me 24hrs notice. First their excuse was "oh we tried calling but you didn't pick up". Well I have no reception at work. The lack of response doesn't mean you just enter anyway. I told them to contact me via e-mail as I check that every 30 mins. To quote one of their agents Simon Smith: “Dear Raj Thank you for the email and again I am very sorry I have made sure that the key is never given out without your approval, I will also make everyone aware that email is better Kind regards Simon” Yet today I find that they again allowed access without providing me any notice. If you value your privacy and your rights as a tenant avoid this agency because they clearly do not understand this little thing that we're all supposed to abide by...the law!

They are a very good estate agent, I was really impressed with their service. Buying or selling a house is very stressful, however I promise you if you use their service it will be a very pleasant journey. I Mostly dealt with a person called Chloe Lancaster.

Estate Agents do not have the best of reputations, but in this case Thomas Merryfields in Bicester, have been simply wonderful. They have almost become friends. Nothing has been too much trouble and they have kept me informed all through the sale. I cannot sing their praises enough and they have made what could have been a stressful time much easier. The best estate agents in Bicester in my opinion. Helped us sell 2 houses in this difficult market. David Weeks and his staff were always helpful, friendly and courteous and kept us informed at all times. David chased up and down the chain to make sure the sale was progressing each time. His staff always gave us feedback after viewings - something not all agents do in our experience. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Selling a house is always a stressful experience. However, thanks to David Weeks in particular and the staff of Thomas Merrifield in general, selling our house in Bicester was much easier than we expected. David´s high level of attention to detail, knowledge of the local market, good advises (he always puts his clients´ interests first) and accessibility and good communication were key factors in the process. Before selling the house we did a careful research of different state agents in Bicester and our conclusion was that Thomas Merrifield were the best ones - now this initial perception is fully confirmed.

We have recently purchased a house through Thomas Merrifield Wallingford, and the whole experience was excellent. They played a large part in enabling the purchase to go through from offer to completion in 6 1/2 weeks. David, in particular, was great. He was incredibly patient with us and responded to queries promptly, even the most mundane of questions. My experience of estate agents has not been good up until this point, but Thomas Merrifield turned that stereotype on its head, and I would strongly recommend them.
