GoogleSharon in the agency was really helpful and available throughout all the process of buying our first home. We heard it could take a while until all the paperwork is ready, but Sharon was updating us in each step of the way. She was honest and forthright. I would ask for her if I have to buy a new house!

GoogleWe engaged Jon Warrell and his team a few months ago to sell our cottage. There certainly are a number of agents in Bicester that you can contract with. We certainly made the right choice though, Jon and his team have been proactive and accessible throughout the process, and always acted in our interest. We strongly recommend using Thomas Merrifield, and the Bicester office.

Honest, trustworthy and professional from start to finish during what was at times a difficult process due to tenants who refused viewings. I was kept updated with calls and emails. GoogleBought a house that was being managed by Thomas Merrifield and everything from the initial viewings, through to the exchange/completion has been an absolute joy. Everyone involved (primarily Sarah, Sharon and Jon) have been so friendly, responsive to queries and accommodating in any request. Even towards the end of the process when there were "challenges" with solicitors going back and forth for weeks, they were so proactive in helping push things along and so patient and professional. It has been such a pleasure to be buying a house through them and would definitely recommend them!

GoogleWe have just exchanged on our house where Thomas Merrifield were acting on our behalf as our Agents. From the first visit by Jon Warrell to secure the commission (against other local Agents) to exchanging contracts, the whole team at Thomas Merrifield have been professional, knowledgeable, pro-active and supportive throughout the whole process. Jon, Sharon, Gemma, Sarah and the team have kept in regular contact and provided us with experienced and sensible advice in order to make our house sale as smooth as possible. Their understanding of the current market conditions provided us with a positive and realistic house sales price, supported by a high-quality sales brochure/particulars and details that were advertised both locally and nationally on all of the main UK property websites. The local team were then always on-hand to provide potential, interested buyers with an in-depth knowledge of the benefits of our property, including the Village we live in and the wider surrounding area. As such, they immediately generated a significant number of viewings and we accepted an offer on our house in just over one week. In the post acceptance of offer stage, the Thomas Merrifield team and Sharon, in particular, were in constant contact with us, our buyers and both Solicitors in calmly pushing things on, whilst ensuring all parties were happy, up to and including exchange of contracts. We couldn't rate the Bicester Thomas Merrifield team any higher. We would recommend them to anyone.

GoogleWe received excellent service from Thomas Merrifield throughout the whole process of the recent sale of our house in Bicester. All staff we dealt with were helpful, available and very professional, although Sharon in particular stood out by taking care of all the chasing and coordination, which got quite complicated and stressful for a while with our chain. Based on our experience as vendors we would strongly recommend Thomas Merrifield Bicester to anyone selling their property, and I suspect our buyers had as good an experience as they could have hoped for under the circumstances, given all the work Sharon undertook on their behalf.

GoogleWe sold our flat with them in December. They act on behalf of the buyer as appose to the vendor, they lied to our buyers saying we could move out beforehand and make it no chain when we never once said this. Disappointed.

GoogleWe have recently bought a lovely house in Yarnton with help of Thomas Merrifield team. It was a new experience for us and we had a lot of questions. Graeme was very patient and extremely helpful with all our enquiries and explained all in detail. He communicated with the solicitors involved and kept us to to date on any progress. The sale went very smoothly for us. I would highly recommend this agency for anyone who is willing to sell/buy a property.

GoogleI commissioned the Abingdon branch to market my high value property. From day one the marketing was sub-standard and there was no proactivity to the outbound marketing of the property. I was told that this is not how the agent does this, despite all other agents advising me that proactivity and cross-selling is the way that all agents operate. It was lazy and felt like an overpriced Purple Bricks service. I decommissioned the agent quickly but honoured a viewing that was booked in. At that viewing, before the prospective buyer was even over the threshold, I was called "nuts" by the agent as he explained why I had transferred to a second agent. This was captured on my door camera. Throughout the entire process there was no accountability for the poor quality, and disappointingly no apology has been received since I raised the incredibly unprofessional incident. I moved to another agent who did a super job, behaved professionally and sold my house within 2 days. This is not an agent that is hungry for your house to sell and this is apparent when you see how many houses that they still haven't sold even whilst in a sellers market.NegativeQuality, Professionalism

Initially we met four agents for valuations but Philip May from TM was head and shoulders above the rest. Right away we felt he was really genuine and demonstrated impressive insight into the business and current market. His valuation wasn’t quite the highest but it seemed the most credible so we went with TM.
