I had a very disappointing experience with Sheldon Bosley Knight while trying to rent a property at Phoenix Building in Leicester. Mr. Jake handled all the viewings for us, and initially everything seemed to be going smoothly. Our application was processed and approved, and we completed all the required verification steps through the app. We were sent the tenancy agreement, and after everything was confirmed, I paid the deposit in good faith. However, just a few days before our scheduled move-in date, I was informed that the property would not be available as promised. Instead, I was advised to extend my current tenancy. This put me in an extremely difficult situation, as I was planning to move with my wife and our 1-year-old baby. At that point, we were at risk of having nowhere to go. Thankfully, our current letting agent, Anderson’s Letting, was understanding and agreed to extend our stay for one more month. Based on assurances from Jake and the team, I decided to wait for the property to become available. Unfortunately, as the new promised move-in date approached, I was once again told that the property would still not be available. This forced me to restart my property search from scratch with other agents, causing a great deal of stress and uncertainty for my family. I requested a refund of the deposit I had paid, and while it was eventually returned after a few days, the entire experience was highly frustrating. Overall, I found the service from Sheldon Bosley Knight to be very unprofessional, with poor communication and lack of reliability. This situation caused significant stress for me and my family, and I would not recommend their services based on my experience.

We had full confidence in the team in achieving the price we agreed for the properties. They are professional and personable offering expert advice with full back-up support throughout the whole selling process. We had an extremely poor experience with this estate agent over the course of our sale. Communication was consistently slow, unclear, and at times completely absent. We often found ourselves having to chase for updates, with little sense of ownership or urgency from the team. On several occasions, poor communication and a lack of coordination appeared to contribute directly to delays in the process. At no point did we feel that our interests were being actively represented or managed. The process often felt reactive rather than proactive, which added unnecessary stress and uncertainty at key stages of the sale. Professionalism was also lacking. Interactions could feel dismissive, and there was little evidence of structured or effective oversight of the transaction from start to finish. Overall, the service fell well below expectations. We would not recommend. Unfortunately, the experience did not reflect the level of service we would expect from a professional estate agent.
