Niraj Shah's help

I found Niraj Shah, who works in the Lettings department of SBK really helpful. I am between tenants - the flat needed to be re-painted, the place cleaned and the electricity restored. The resotarion of electricity, especially given Ovo's abysmal performance, has been stressful and unimaginably long - it took three days and several visits by Niraj. Throughout this period, Niraj has been patient and worked through each hurdle even though he was sometimes on leave. His dedication and passion sone through. Thank You Niraj!

It was a stressful time for me when Sheldon Bosley Knight took over from Bradgate Lettings. Plenty of issues arose, these issues took longer than they should have, to be rectified, dealing with certain contacts to then find they had left. I have recently been dealing with Niraj and my faith has been restored in Sheldon Bosley Knight. Within an hour of reporting a boiler issue today, Niraj had arranged for a Gas Engineer to come to the property, whilst keeping me updated with what was happening throughout the day. Niraj is so friendly, helpful, calm in a ‘crisis’ and a pleasure to deal with! Niraj you are a credit to Sheldon Bosley Knight!!

We inherited SBK as our managing agent when our old agent was sold to them approximately 3 years ago. It has taken a while for them to grips with all the new properties they acquired and during that time I've seen many staff come and go which can be frustrating as a landlord to not have the continuity of dealing with the same people. Recently, Niraj in the Oadby office has been looking after our concerns and I have to say that he is brilliant in dealing with any issues and I really feel like he looks after the finer details to ensure that Landlords are protected and the property is looked after. We have been renting the same house for 10 years and it has been through various agents hands in that time. The transition to Sheldon Bosley Knight was seamless. They have always responded quickly to any maintenance problems that have occurred (except for one weekend when we were left hanging with no response on when our heating would be fixed). But once Niraj was back from leave, it was dealt with efficiently. He even worked over hours and dealt with British Gas so we could have our heating back on quickly. Thanks too to our landlady who is always helpful and quick to respond through SBK.

I had a very disappointing experience with Sheldon Bosley Knight while trying to rent a property at Phoenix Building in Leicester. Mr. Jake handled all the viewings for us, and initially everything seemed to be going smoothly. Our application was processed and approved, and we completed all the required verification steps through the app. We were sent the tenancy agreement, and after everything was confirmed, I paid the deposit in good faith. However, just a few days before our scheduled move-in date, I was informed that the property would not be available as promised. Instead, I was advised to extend my current tenancy. This put me in an extremely difficult situation, as I was planning to move with my wife and our 1-year-old baby. At that point, we were at risk of having nowhere to go. Thankfully, our current letting agent, Anderson’s Letting, was understanding and agreed to extend our stay for one more month. Based on assurances from Jake and the team, I decided to wait for the property to become available. Unfortunately, as the new promised move-in date approached, I was once again told that the property would still not be available. This forced me to restart my property search from scratch with other agents, causing a great deal of stress and uncertainty for my family. I requested a refund of the deposit I had paid, and while it was eventually returned after a few days, the entire experience was highly frustrating. Overall, I found the service from Sheldon Bosley Knight to be very unprofessional, with poor communication and lack of reliability. This situation caused significant stress for me and my family, and I would not recommend their services based on my experience.

Nothing personal, but be cautious with Sheldon.

I hope that those who read my review about Sheldon can actually see how manipulative they are. How can you lead someone on for 2months, and turn around and say the landlord chose another application that was introduced. In your email, you said the landlord went with another estate agency, not yourselves and that before you could even do anything, he had moved with them. We all know that’s a lie, and that NEVER happens. There can’t be another estate agency in the picture.
