We recently bought and sold a home through SBK. Chloe was excellent in her support. For me a good estate agent is not just about getting a property sold, but getting the property to completion. SBK ensured all the solicitors were talking to each other and pushed to get everything over the line. We would recommend using Sheldon Bosley Knight.

Had a valuation recently and met with Chris Gale. The valuation was as expected but the service following on from this first meeting exceeded all expectations. He helped to solve a problem which I was not aware off with the lease of the property. I would certainly use Robin Jones on my next sale of a property. Thank you Chris.

Absolutely horrendous company to deal with in every respect. Myself and my partner are both first time buyers, to which we placed an offer on a property, which Robin Jones were advertising, on behalf of a buyer. We were told it had been on the market previously but the sale had fell through as the previous prospective buyer couldn't get their mortgage approved on time. We were also reassured that the previous survey came back all clear and there we no issues on the seller's side, or with the property in general. We were also told that the seller's didn't want a long drawn out sale that would cause additional stress. After placing an offer (with a large additional incentive to secure a quick sale) we began the process of purchasing the property. Trying to secure a mortgage on the property, our lender's survey highlighted there was potentially some issues with the property. We then paid for an independent surveyor to come in and conduct a survey. This survey highlighted that there may be some potential issues with the property that required further investigation. We informed Robin Jones, who pleaded with us to share the survey with them, which we did as a good will gesture and an act of transparency. 48 hours later we were informed that we had caused 'a significantly emotional situation that was impacting the seller's health' and as such they had to pull out of the property sale. After calling Robin Jones to find out more details, we were told that the previous buyer had mysteriously turned up at the office over the past 48 hours (unannounced), with their newly approved mortgage in hand (to which, their survey had coincidentally not raised any issues, despite both of ours raising almost 15 A4 pages of concerns), and that the buyer had instantaneously switched to accepting their offer instead (whilst the house was still sold to us, subject to contract). All in all, this shambles of a process has left us ~£1200 out of pocket, as first time buyers, due to the sheer lack of transparency from Robin Jones and extremely poor handling of what was clearly a very sensitive situation that we had no need to be involved in. Much Appreciated!

We understand it can sometimes be an emotional rollercoaster when purchasing a house, that said, we really do sympathise with what you have experienced which has caused you stress, anxiety and money more especially since you are first time buyers. However, Robin Jones Estate Agency has been proudly operating for over 40 years and is very well respected. Our motivation for great customer service leads to being fully transparent with all parties and acting professionally on behalf of our vendors and landlords. This is exactly what has happened in your situation. To summarise, the vendor was presented with 2 offers, one offer from yourself which was conditional upon invasive multiple works being carried out after you took advice from a third-party surveyor and another offer from a customer who was happy with proceeding with the purchase with no works to be done after also taking advice from a third party surveyor. The vendor then made a decision to go with the other party and this property sale has now been completed. Upon being aware of any notifications from both parties we present the facts in real time and the vendors make their decision from here as to who they decide to sell their property to. This is what happened in this circumstance and I am sorry that you were unsuccessful on this occasion but your requests for work to be carried out were not consistent with other parties and were unacceptable requests as far as the vendor was concerned. This was communicated to you. I do understand your frustration and hope that you can find a property soon and would endeavour to do my upmost to assist you with the buying process, should this be required. From the first touch point to the very last, Sheldon Bosley Knight were an absolute pleasure to deal with and we would highly recommend them.We had been searching for a property for several months until we came accross the property we have now purchased and moved into. From our first dealings with SBK, via telephone, Sara extremely professional and polite. There was a lot of interest in he property we purchased and Sara was extremely diligent in obtaining all of the information required from us in order to put forward a firm offer and after some tooing a frooing with the seller, we managed to secure it and the property was promptly marked as under offer.We were then passed over to Karen who was equall as polite and professional, assisting both us and our solicitor to progress the sale propmtly and without delay. On several occassions, we had to rely on Karen to chase up our sellers soliciting firm and Karen did so without delay - ensuring that the sale went through as smoothly and efficiently as possible. Having dealt with Estate Agents on a number of occasions throughout my life I can honestly say that SBK go above and beyond for both their sellers and the prospective buyers. We met Josh from SBK back in 2021 when we started looking for a buy-to-let property. He kept in touch with us as we viewed a number of properties in quite a large search area. He gave his professional opinion on how attractive to renters the properties were. We found that advice really helpful. We finally completed on a flat back in June and naturally chose SBK to manage this for us. All the staff have been helpful and efficient. (The agent who sold us the flat in contrast, made no contact regarding managing it until the day we collected the keys.) SBK found us a tenant really quickly, we’ve gone for a fully managed arrangement so we have no worries moving forward. They handled everything. Would definitely use SBK again. Highly recommend Josh if like us you need a bit of support finding the right property.
