Megan @ Sarah Mains was so pro active and positive and had appointments for viewers through the door in a matter of hours and an offer was accepted within 3 days of being back up! A great agent that I have used many times. Having experienced working with other estate agents I would rate Sarah Mains above anyone else. Their initial valuation was good and sales team also very friendly and willing to help when asked to do so. If I had any problems I just had to call. If I had to be picky and say one thing that could be improved that would be communicating developments as soon as they happen to appease anxious sellers. I found myself having to chase things up a couple of times, but to be fair I am pretty impatient! All in all, a great team and I would definitely use their services again.

Experienced appalling conduct from Sarah Mains, including but not limited to discrimination, misleading information and poor communication. A combination of these factors resulted in us losing the flat we wanted in favour of another applicant, to whom Sarah Mains had given preference. Their fees are also very expensive and I found myself having to do the majority of chasing when it came to the property search. I recommend anyone who considers using Sarah Mains find an alternative agent in the strongest terms possible. I note from the other negative reviews that their stock response is to simply highlight all their positive reviews. This attitude underpins the company's disregard for customer care and wellbeing as they offered no resolution to our situation or were willing to reconsider the application.

A friend and I tried repeatedly a week ago to contact Sarah Mains regarding flats/apartments to rent around Gateshead and Newcastle for her. She rang them numerous times and left messages as well as sending emails, but still noone has responded to her. Their website said they were open, but noone was answering phones or replying to emails

I guess this is a way of getting feedback to Sarah Mains: Myself and my partner are first time buyers and I check Rightmove regularly to see what's come up. There was a house that had come up well within our price range that we really liked (on paper it ticked every box), and I called immediately to try and book a viewing for the Saturday. There was no availability since they were doing the viewings. We work 9-5 and can't be taking time off every time we want to view a house and Sarah Mains' last viewing on a weekday is 4pm. We had to book a viewing for the coming Saturday, but we've had a phone call today cancelling it because it's been sold. The asking price was offers over £125k, as it was well within out budget, if we had liked it, we probably would have offered comfortably over that price. By not catering for people who work full time, they are reducing the amount of people who they may be able to sell to - it just feels like bad business to me. Most estate agents in Gateshead seem to be similar, which is very frustrating, but this is the first time we have had a viewing cancelled because it was sold before we were actually able to view it. I would suggest that Sarah Mains should allow for later viewings for after work, and/or get another company viewer to allow for more Saturday viewings.

Sarah Mains Low Fell branch handled my house sale. The found a buyer at a good price within a week of the house going on the market. However, for various reasons, none of which was their fault, sale completion took almost a year. Throughout this time they were very helpful and supportive. I live some distance away, and they checked the house weekly, and kept me fully informed about progress. All staff were unfailingly efficient, friendly and courteous, and I have no hesitation in recommending them.
