I sold my late Father’s house in Low Fell with the help of Lauren, Jane, Dawn and the team at the Low Fell branch. I live in the USA so this made me very reliant on their help. Throughout the process the whole team gave excellent support, handled the creation of marketing materials superbly, organized viewings, and managed the sale to completion process with incredible care and attention. As the property was unoccupied house security during the viewing process was a concern but was handled flawlessly. Always fast and responsive to questions. Our experience with Sarah Mains in general has always been positive before and during our current tenancy at one of their managed properties. They are very available and responsive. The report issue feature with FixFlo has been great for any issues as and when they arise! David has been a great managing agent during our tenancy at the property. He has always been responsive, friendly and helpful if we as tenants have questions, communicative about upcoming safety checks, following up after house inspections or repairmen visits. Honestly had the best experience. I got a few estate agents out to do an inital review of the house. Amy from Sarah Mains was far by the most professional, prepared and knowledgable representative of all the estate agents coming out. Amy was able to present her market research and expertise of the area and gave me loads of confidence from the start. Once I had confirmed that I wanted to use Sarah Main, every single person I spoke to was helpful, efficient and friendly. They recommended me Mincoff Solicitors who were also fabulous to work with- I would go back to these conveyancers in the future! I can't recommend them enough as I've received such high quality advice, care and attention at all stages of the process. I've worked with different individuals throughout the advertising, offer and sale progression stages and everyone has been incredibly knowledgeable, explaining things in a straightforward way (special thanks to Ashleigh, Kelly and Jane in particular). I wasn't particularly up to speed about selling a home and was nervous about navigating this, and they always took the time to talk me through things with understanding and patience. Buyer here. The process has been chaotic and unnecessarily complicated. They accidentally instructed two solicitors at the start, which caused a lot of confusion. The solicitor they recommended has very poor reviews on Trustpilot, with multiple complaints about lost documents, dishonesty, and poor communication. Yet no one seemed to have a problem with having a working relationship with them. Of course I suffered some of those problems myself, when it was totally preventable. Aside from Lauren, who was genuinely kind, helpful, and understanding, most of the team appeared more focused on avoiding responsibility than actually helping. Lauren was the only person who showed real empathy throughout the process, and followed up on things. My house sale finally completed today, but I wasn’t informed that the seller had failed to remove the items that were meant to be taken out before completion, which I asked around Augus and reminded recently. This was yet another frustrating oversight, which will cost me money. Overall, I expected some challenges, but not this level. Edit after response: Instructing 2 solicitors is Sarah Mains' fault. Knowing about the solicitor and still working with them Sarah Mains' fault. Not notifying me about the seller not removing items before the sale is complete is still Sarah Mains' fault. It's about how you couldn't communicate internally and conveniently didn't tell me anything when there was a possibility of me doing something about it. I really hope we don't come to contact again anytime soon.

Disgraceful experience. We made an enquiry regarding a rental property and received absolutely no communication or follow-up from this company. When my partner eventually chased the enquiry herself, she was met with what we felt was an unnecessarily rude and defensive attitude from the branch manager. We simply wanted to understand why we had not been given the opportunity to view the property, but no proper explanation was provided. When we expressed how disappointed we were with the way the enquiry had been handled and said that, based on our experience, we would not recommend the company, the response was essentially that they were not bothered. This only added to an already very poor impression. The whole experience came across as arrogant, dismissive and completely unprofessional. Looking at other reviews, they may provide a good service to sellers, but from our experience as prospective tenants, we certainly did not feel that our enquiry was valued or taken seriously. Communication and basic courtesy cost nothing, and unfortunately both were severely lacking here. Rude, dismissive and unprofessional. Very disappointing.
