Nice but not helpful
Though the staff is friendly miscommunications abound. They do not solve more challenges than they generate for my company while the prices would suggest stupendous service.
Hi,thanks for letting us know about this. Transparency is key to us; we’re sorry you had this experience and would love to help. Please email me at michelle.spire@spacesworks.com with your company name and/or account reference so we can quickly assist. Comfortable and spacious but noisy
It's great place to sit and work ! Lots of space, cosy atmosphere, some coffee available, friendly people, everything is fine as a co-working place. My only negative point is about people talking around and having face to face meetings in the main room, this generates a noisy background... also at lunchtime, it looks like a canteen...

I am disappointed with the fact that it…
I am disappointed with the fact that it has been over 30 days since I left Spaces, and I have not received my payment back. I got charged cleaning fees when i left the office; I am not sure why there is a need to hold on to my money for over a month. Clearly, you are sending AI-generated responses because no one has reached out to me regarding my account. Your company still has my money. Disgusting!!UPDATE!!!!THEY STILL CONTINUE TO IGNORE ME EVEN AFTER THEY SENT THIS BS RESPONSE TO MY REVIEW. IT'S OVER TWO MONTHS HEADING. THREE SINCE I MOVED OUT, THEY ARE NOW TELLING ME TO WAIT FOR THEIR PAYROLL DUE IN ANOTHER MONTH. LUDICROUS AND THIEVING BEHAVIOUR, AVOID THIS BAND OF THIEVES AT ALL COSTS!!Update 2023-07-07I still have not received my deposit from this BAND OF THIEVES. I am waiting for their next excuse about some glitch in the system based on a made up story. There really needs to be someone advocating for people like us who are being adversely affected by a company scamming our funds. I am considering going to the media and retaining Legal Counsel on my issue.
Hi Trevor,I’m very sorry to hear of your disappointment. We provide our restoration service for all customers to save time and money, along with the frustration of dealing with multiple outside vendors such as IT & phone technicians. When you moved into your office, we ensured it was all in working order and ready for use. We do the same with each customer and this service is part of your agreement. We fully understand the importance of receiving your refund promptly and have taken measures to make the process as smooth as possible for customers. We regret that there was a delay with the refund in your specific case and for this we would like to apologise and thank you for your patience. I can confirm that this is now scheduled for the next possible payment run and a member of my team has been in touch with additional details.Best regards,Michelle SpireAssistant Global Customer Service at Spaces

Aggressive sales & marketing
Within 30 seconds of submitting an enquiry, I was bombarded with phone calls from the sales team pushing me to sign up. I didn't even have time to pause to think. Also, since handing over my email address I've been bombarded with marketing emails from multiple different companies... are they selling my data to 3rd parties?? not cool.
Hi Kat, I’m very sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction. I’ll ask our teams to remove your name from all distribution lists and will ensure you no longer receive any emails or calls from us. You can click on “Unsubscribe” link on any of our communications. Please send your phone number and email address to me to me at lorraine.brule@regus.com. This is the #1 worst customer service…
This is the #1 worst customer service experience I've ever had.I tried to simply update my AmEx card on file (new expiration date). Pretty standard, right? Worked great on every other website where I also updated this card. No problems, except for at spacesworks.com where it encountered an "unknown error, try again" problem. Tried multiple cards, multiple browsers - no luck.I endured multiple customer service ticket back-and-forths over email where there was so little empathy from the customer service reps to actually help me solve the problem and just sent me pre-scripted paragraphs robotically pointing me back to the website where I was supposed to update the card - which the original problem in the first place! I was in a do-loop, and no human at IWG had the heart to care to help. Then I began getting the emails from Accounting that my account was overdue with notification of late fees. I opened up new support tickets to try and solve the problem but none were successful. More of "have you tried updating the card on our website?" Comedy. One of the later service tickets also offered the option to settle the balance via bank transfer but my business doesn't have a European bank account and I wasn't about to incur wire fees because of their inability to accept a credit card. Then my account was cut off. In accidentally-dramatic fashion, I showed up to an office space for my annual Board Meeting, which I had booked a month earlier. I was embarrassingly denied entry to the office, and our Board needed to scramble and use a colleague's cramped hotel room.At this point the whole ordeal was such a stress for me, I just wanted it to go away. So I gave in and made a bank transfer from my own personal checking account, and asked for the account to be cancelled. This is where Spaces/Regus/IWG service desk began to twist the knife. Unbeknownst to me, my account had been "reinstated" 2 days later after I made the bank transfer! So they ignored my request to cancel the account and kept billing me for future rent while I was under the impression the account was closed! When I received another invoice I decided to call a local sales office rather than going back to that same dead-end service desk. The salesman was helpful at explaining the (non-intuitive) process for canceling your account online, which I did. But that's where his helpfulness ended - I was then referred me back to the same service desk, which started hitting me with the same defensive, unjustified, procedural answers for rationalizing why they were entitled to more of my money. The explanation was thata) It was my obligation to pay via bank transfer earlier because of their website's inability to accept my credit cardb) they couldn't cancel my account before the account was re-instated (but then proceeded to reinstate it and not tell me it wasn't cancelled)This part is humorous: Spaces/Regus/IWC were successful at charging my credit card for the final invoice! Ah the irony...In summary, I pray that you never have to deal with Spaces/Regus/IWG customer service desk. And if and when you do, make sure you have your guard up. Follow up with them to get confirmation for everything. Don't assume anything, even if the issue is something as seemingly-simple as a change in payment method. At this point, I have very little recourse other than to try and educate others about the risks of doing business with Regus/Spaces/IWC. My first recommendation is to AVOID THIS COMPANY. But if you can't, my second recommendation is to watch your back financially with them. I've seen the other reviews here, and the PR department comes on a responds that they're "sorry about this inconvenience" and in some cases vows to help get involved. But this is a 3+ billion USD business that is getting by with a terrible customer service culture. I don't want an apology, I want their company to change. Because their employees and customers are the ones being hurt in the long run.
Hi Chris, I’m very sorry to hear of your disappointment. We work closely with our Web and App developers to provide customers with the best possible services/online tools to easily manage their accounts and make payment with us on the go. Our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused. We are pleased to confirm that your concern has since been resolved as per the details shared with you via email. If I can assist you with anything else, please contact me directly at lorraine.brule@regus.com. We appreciate your business. Thank you, Lorraine Brule Global Customer Service at Spaces

What a catastrophe of a business
What a catastrophe of a business. In 15 years of business, I have never seen such a woefully incapable company who quite frankly couldn't care less about the customer. Bully tactics, sneaky clauses in their contracts and I quote "IWG will not guarantee stable internet, consistent ventilation or power to be supplied to the client" FOR AN OFFICE PROVIDER!! We spent a whole month with no internet connectivity, intermittent power and no AC in the height of summer. Zero communication from regus and blatantly ignored by every single person in the business, including the embarrassingly incompetent center staff at the Lakeside site. We lost in excess of £60,000 worth of revenue due to the constant outages. We were billed 3 times in one month, and when we tried to raise it with accounts, we yet again we're ignored. We expressed our desire to leave so we can move to an alternative space that will allow us to actually conduct business and I kid you not they said "Actually your contract just auto renewed" All without any communication to us. First time we had heard back from them in nearly 2 months. We tried obviously no chance. Now we have just received a debt demand from a solicitor. This is a company that brands itself as a home for small businesses looking to grow, I can tell you it is the furthest thing from that. I have never, ever been treated so badly. If you are thinking of using Regus or Spaces as they are all owned by the same company, please do not, they will put you our of business before you can get going AVOID!!!
Hi Zac I’m very sorry to hear of your disappointment. We sometimes rely on third party service providers; such failures are rare but can happen. If there is an issue, we always work hard to offer alternative solutions. Our IT team looked at your concern at the time and found that the issues you were experiencing stemmed from your Virtual servers or equipment. You refused to accept this but there was nothing to fix from our side. The landlord advises us in advance of any maintenance work that may affect the power supply and this is shared with our customers, such occurrences are unusual during working hours (certainly not constant) but we apologise if you were affected. We ask all our customers to add an automated payment method to their account. I apologise if this wasn’t clearly communicated to you but it’s in the terms of your agreement. We understand that this is not always possible, so we agreed as an exception for you to pay via an alternative method. That exception was made on the understanding that you will pay three months in advance. During this period we listened to our customers and decided that it was more convenient for an additional service retainer to be charged instead asking affected customers to pay quarterly. You were given the choice to remain on quarterly billing, pay the additional retainer charge or move to an automated payment method but you did not reply to us and stopped paying your invoices.Prior to any renewal, our customers receive courtesy email reminders. According to our history, you received these emails on 10 July 2022 and 24 July 2022 with detailed information on prices, terms and the option of ending the agreement if you no longer require our services. At no point during the renewal period did you request to end your agreement through your online account (myspacesworks.com) or through your centre team. We want to maintain a positive relationship with you. However, the current payment situation needs to be resolved.A member of my team has contacted you directly to clarify these points. Kind Regards,Lorraine BruleGlobal Customer Service at Spaces

spaceworks is the worst client experience ever
The worst client experience ever. The moment they get your bank/card details they will rip you. Charge, surcharge, overcharge, late fees, it has been a nightmare with them. Clients service keep answering : can't waive your penalties, you have to pay. They lie and keep charging you after you terminate the lease. Do not go to Spaces, spacesworks, Regus, IWG.
Hi Henri,I understand that you’re frustrated.Regardless of the reason, I understand how frustrating it can be and apologize if we did not provide the level of service that you expect and deserve from Spaces. We encourage our customers to set up an automated method of payment such as direct debit or credit card, to save the hassle of arranging manual payments and possibly incurring late fees. We only charge our customers according to the agreement they signed.I’d love to help you further, but I’m unable to contact you with the details you have provided. Please can you email me at lorraine.brule@spacesworks.com with more details, such as your company name and/or account number? This information is available on your invoices. I look forward to receiving more information from you. Best, Lorraine Brule Global Customer Service at Spaces

Trying to get my refund of $200 for MONTHS
I am writing this review to share my extremely disappointing experience with Spaces.com. I mistakenly signed up for their services and ended up paying a hefty sum of $200.00 or more. Despite my repeated attempts over the past few months to contact their support team for a refund, I have received no response whatsoever. This level of negligence and lack of customer care is truly appalling. The frustration I have endured in my attempts to reach their support team is beyond words. I have been put on hold for hours on end, only to make zero progress towards resolving my issue. It is disheartening to see a company disregard its customers to this extent.I implore anyone considering using Spaces.com to think twice before doing business with them. Their unwillingness to address my refund request, coupled with their abysmal customer support, reflects a complete lack of professionalism and integrity. I have been left feeling disgusted by this whole ordeal.I strongly advise against giving any further business to Spaces.com. They have demonstrated a total disregard for customer satisfaction and have failed to provide the support they promised. Save yourself the frustration and avoid this company at all costs.
Hi Evander,Although we recognise you’re disappointed and we’re sorry for it, your comments are surprising and unfair. You initially contacted us stating that you wanted to relocate your agreement. We contacted you at the time and offered to help you with transferring, which you declined. You contacted us again with difficulties accessing your online account (Spacesworks.com) and wanting to early terminate and we again responded to you with instructions.Whilst we understand that you stated you signed up by mistake, the agreement process although simple takes several deliberate steps and once made, a commitment is formed. We’re happy to facilitate you wherever you wish to be positioned globally but we’re unable to end your agreement early. My team will contact you again now to assist once more. Thank you.Michelle Spire Assistant Global Customer Service at Spaces

ABSOLUTELY AVOID USING SPACES!
ABSOLUTELY AVOID USING SPACES!Spaces insisted we continue to pay rent during the Covid-19 government lockdown. Our rent for a small business is £6,500 monthly. We were forced to pay spaces over £50,0000 in rent even though we were ordered by the UK government to vacate the office. However, Spaces insisted we continue to pay, and so we did, very reluctantly.Next, Spaces would not allow us to terminate our rental agreement, which isn't a lease for premises. But we could no longer afford any further payments so Spaces lawyers threatened legal action unless we paid £60,000. To avoid a costly legal proceeding, we reached an out of court settlement of £36,000. We agreed to pay monthly instalments and so far paid over £25,000. But Spaces have now issued legal proceedings, insisting we pay the £10,000 balance in one payment instead of the agreed monthly instalments. This is not a company to do business with. This company is no supporter of small businesses.Don't be fooled by the pleasantries of the staff and management. They will bleed your business dry. They simply don't care about their clients/customers. We are easy come, easy go for Spaces. You've now been warned!
Hi Peter, I’m sorry if you felt the need to escalate this.It is true that we agreed to assist you in settling your commitment but since we’ve not received payment since April 2023, this commitment also failed and therefore, we are rightfully pursuing the full amount that is due. You may continue to speak with our Collections team to discuss this further.Thank you.Lorraine BruleGlobal Customer Service at Spaces

Thieves
Such a terrible experince working with these guys. They overcharge in every single invoice given, and it takes literally days of emailing throught the help section to get the invoiced ammended. They literally try to steal money from you.I would strongly advise going elsewhere, as you will 100% regret working with these guys. Avoid!"Unhappy about the tea and coffee charge" Yes I am, as you stated you sent the money to my bank 5 WEEKS! Yes WEEKS. nO PAYMENT WAS SENT. FURTHERMORE, YOU'RE STILL SENDING ME INVOICES FOR LATE PAYMENT? I LEFT 10 weeks ago. It's became apparent you do this to everybody that leaves, so you can chip away at our retainers, WHICH I STILL HAVEN'T GOT BACK!You lot are hands down the worse company I've ever worked with in all my life, and I genuinly mean that. AVOID THESE LOT GUYS, Just read all the reviews. They're all the same. They don't know the meaning of communication, You spend 7 days emailing back and forward with somebody, only for another employee to come in and start the whole 7 days again. You are nothing more than common Thieves.WHAT THE F..... are you going on about? "please make payments" FOR WHAT? I LEFT THE END OF APRIL. YOU LOT OWE ME MONEY FFS!
Hi Dale,I understand you’re disappointed and I would like to help.We charge our customers according to their signed agreement. I understand that you’re unhappy with the unlimited coffee and tea fees charged for the month of March and April. As part of our customer policy, we provide quality teas, coffee, milk, sugar, glassware, and cutlery for all customers to enjoy with their guests. If for any reason you don’t require this service, you can opt out at any time by logging onto your online account (myspacesworks.com). We apologise if you weren’t made aware of this beforehand. This service is removed from your account and the related fees are credited. The other charges billed to your account are valid and payable.Upon reviewing your account, I noticed that your invoices remain unpaid since March 2023. This incurred late payment fees and your account was restricted. During the restriction process, your agreement end date was changed from 30 June 2023 to 31 July 2023 due to a process error. We have rectified the error and your agreement will end on 30 June 2023 as confirmed to you by my team member via email. We greatly value your business and want to maintain a positive working relationship with you. However, the current payment situation needs to be resolved. Please make payment arrangements for your account’s outstanding balance. For further assistance, please contact my team member who is currently in touch with you.Thank you,Michelle SpireAssistant Global Customer Service at Spaces

We've been trying to get our $15,000…
We've been trying to get our $15,000 retainer returned after moving out of Spaces in Fairfax Los Angeles. It's been a month and a half and they ignore most emails, support tickets get closed before being resolved and they're impossible to get ahold of. Spaces needs to get investigated for witholding money that's not theirs.
Hi Petra, I’m sorry if you felt the need to escalate this.We fully understand the importance of receiving your refund promptly and have taken measures to make the process as smooth as possible for customers. After requesting your retainer through your online account (myregus.com) we expect a retainer refund to be processed 30 days after the end of your agreement or 30 days after the request (whichever is later). It’s an automated process. However, we ask you to go through some security steps as part of our fraud-prevention policy. We’re truly sorry for the delay and are working hard to put it right.A member of my team has contacted you directly to assist.Kind regards, Michelle SpireAssistant Global Customer Service at Spaces

Ongoing problems with Air con ignored
We have had ongoing issues with the aircon unit for over 6 months now and Spaces have done nothing to sort it out. The unit is pushing out freezing cold air; staff members are regularly calling in sick. we email the centre every day to turn the heating up; they respond to say that it is done but there is no change to the temperature. They have sent round an engineer who confirmed that the unit is faulty but advised that there is nothing he can do as the unit is connected to 6 other offices, so any changes to our unit will also affect these other offices. (in other words we have to sit in a freezing cold office, and there is nothing they can do about it). The unit was turned off but then turned back on 10 minutes later as they realised it also turned off the units in the 6 other offices. (Ridiculous!!)It is appalling that it has been 6 months and they still haven't found a solution despite daily complaints and requests. It seems like all they care about is obtaining rent money regardless of whether they are providing an adequate service or not. There have been countless other issues but for sure this is the most pressing concern as it is now become a health and safety concern; and as a small business owner this could be detrimental to our growth. We have now turned to legal support and this is the only option we have. I would definitely advise to avoid Spaces Sutton; they have made running our business more difficult that it has needed to be.
Hi Matt, I’m sorry to hear about this.At Spaces the maintenance of our facilities is very important and we can assure you of our highest standards. The issue you encountered has now been resolved. Regardless of that I understand your frustration and I apologise that this was not fixed sooner. We do everything we can to put things right as soon as possible but issues such as this can take longer than we’d like due to engineer availability and the complexity of the repair that is required.Your local team have been in contact with you and I’m happy to hear that you are once again comfortable in your office.Kind regards,Michelle SpireAssistant Global Customer Service at Spaces
