Very corporate
Very corporate. They are all smiles but when you need something human you get hit by the corporate wall of inflexibility.
Hi David, I’m very sorry to hear of your disappointment. We understand that you dissatisfaction comes from the automated renewal of your agreement. We take renewals very seriously and ensure that the process, which is very simple, is communicated to customers upfront. Prior to any renewal, our customers receive courtesy email reminders. According to our history, you received these emails on 10 and 24 July with detailed information on prices, terms and the option of ending the agreement if you no longer require our services. As you gave no notice of termination, your agreement renewed for an additional term as per your agreement. On this occasion we are happy to inform that a member of my team has contacted you and come to a favourable conclusion. If there is anything further we can do, please get in touch.Kind regards, Michelle SpireAssistant Global Customer Service at Spaces

Absolutely ridiculous company
Absolutely ridiculous company. For the last two months they've been trying to locate my deposit payment within their accounts. I've sent them bank statement, transaction copies and my account details to show the amount is gone from my account and was successfully transferred to theirs. But for some reason(which is incompetence) they can not find it. It's been 5 weeks I've been in this ludicrous office and sent them 6000GBP already. But they don't even give me furniture for the office because their incompetent accounting team can not locate the initial deposit. So what do they do? They charge my credit card without my consent an additional 1740GBP. What a miserable company. They took almost 8000GBP from me without even giving me furniture.
Hi Volkan,We sincerely apologise for your dissatisfaction.I would like to confirm that the initial payment you made via bank transfer has been allocated to your account now. You can check the status of the payment in the statement of account which is available in the ‘Accounts’ section of your online account (myspacesworks.com). Your centre team confirmed that the furniture you have ordered will be delivered to you on 07 November 2023.If you need further assistance in this matter, please respond to my team member who is in touch with you.Best regards,Lorraine BruleGlobal Customer Service at Spaces

Kitchen tables and chairs rather than working desks
Not comfortable and not enough space for people to work. Mainly kitchen tables with kitchen chairs rather than working desks with working comfortable chairs. Spaces are open for less than 8 hours a day. Specifically, they close at 17.30pm in Athens. How do you support flexible working if you are open only barely 8 hours a day and specific hours? No nomad stops work at 5.30, especially entrepreneurs and freelancers. This is not working for what you are advertising it to be. Wrong organisation, wrong facilities and wrong target group of people.
Hi Artemis, I’m sorry you felt the need to escalate this. This centre does allow extended hours in the business club and the centre team would’ve explained this to you had you an expressed a desire to stay longer. Our memberships give global access to our business centres allowing you to book meeting rooms/day offices or spend some time in a business lounge at your preferred location during reception hours and we do not market or advertise them otherwise; If you would like 24/7 access, you would need an agreement in a specific centre. The furnishings are contemporary and it fitting with the aesthetic of the centre and we can only apologise if it isn’t to your liking. The centre team have emailed you and are happy to discuss your review and provide more information on the access hours.Kind regards,Michelle SpireAssistant Global Customer Service at Spaces

ATTENTION TO ALL WHO WANTS TO ENGAGE…
ATTENTION TO ALL WHO WANTS TO ENGAGE WITH SPACES/REGUS!!!!!!!!! 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩THIS COMPANY IS USING THE FOLLOWING METHOD TO ENGAGE CUSTOMERS: THE SALES PERSON HIDES EXPENSES YOU WILL FACE AFTER SIGNING THEIR TERMS AND CONDITIONS, SO BE CAREFUL YOU MIGHT END UP WITH SHARKS WHO DO NOT CARE ABOUT ANYTHING ELSE JUST TO GET AS MUCH MONEY AS POSSIBLE FROM YOU! I HAVE EXPERIENCED IT ON MY SKIN, WHEN THEY HAVE CREATED SOME DEBT MOST OF WHICH WAS PENALTIES ON 5USD IN AMOUNTED 300USD WITHIN 2 MONTHS, INSANE BUT TRUE!
Hi Solomon,I’m sorry if you felt the need to escalate this.We charge our customers according to the agreement they signed. We bill in advance and our invoices are made up of two different types of charges: Recurring charges like your monthly office fee, parking, signage… These are billed in advance.One-time charges like meeting rooms, photocopies, admin support… These are billed in arrears. All your invoices are available in your online account (Account section) and payable upon receipt by the 15th day of each month. If payment is not received by the due date, we incur administration costs and, though we would like to avoid charging you for this, we must pass on a late fee to you.We disagree with your statement “THEY HAVE CREATED SOME DEBT MOST OF WHICH WAS PENALTIES ON 5USD IN AMOUNTED 300USD WITHIN 2 MONTHS” because the late fees charged to your account are due to delayed payment of the invoices. These fees are valid and payable. You can review the invoice and payment dates on your statement of account, available in your online account (myspacesworks.com).Should you require further assistance, please respond to my team member who is in touch with you.Best regards,Michelle SpireAssistant Global Customer Service at Spaces

Disappointing, Unprofessional and Childish
Here was the response I received from Spaceworks (who then complained that my response violated Trustpilot's rules - more evidence of their childishness and lack of professionalism) - certainly not what one would hope for from a "customer friendly" organization. I for one, will not be back, as they clearly don't understand what it means to address customers' concerns professionally. Rather than doing so, they simply tell me why I'm wrong "the staff was very patient..." The staff was rude, unhelpful and unprofessional. I learned from the other place I went that my experience was not unique - perhaps the reason they were getting so many clients from Spaceworks. FORTUNATELY, I did find another, far better, office environment nearby at Orega Marlow. It was somewhat more expensive, but the office environment was, in my view, far superior (insulated workspaces, no loud narrow hallways, free coffee, and friendly staff). It was a pleasure working there. I would highly recommend them for anyone who seeks a more upscale working environment and more professional treatment. Here is the, now carefully circumscribed (per their complaint) response from Spaceworks:Hi James,"The staff were very patient and certainly not “actively unhelpful”, they helped you change office when your occupancy increased but were unable to provide another card as the system will not allow it for security reasons."My Response: Somehow, that was not the case last year, but just for my knowledge, which security reasons EXACTLY? When did the law change - or are these "security reasons" just a feeble attempt to make an even more feeble excuse for your staff's uncooperativeness and lack of professionalism?
Hi James,I am sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction but I’m surprised to see another complaint as your points were addressed in your initial one.You booked a day office for 1 person on 21 August and were allocated a 1 person office. You were then joined by your assistant which exceeded the office occupation and you were relocated to a second office. Subsequently your wife also joined the group so another change of office was needed. They helped you move offices on multiple occasions and spent a considerable amount of time with you, putting your desires to explore the available office spaces above the needs of other customers. They were patient and explained several times that the offices actively being used by other customers were unavailable. To come onto such a public forum, criticising and accusing the local staff of doing a sub-par job is extremely unfair.A member of my team has been in touch to answer any further questions.Kind regards,Michelle SpireAssistant Global Customer Service at Spaces

I am still waiting on a retainer…
I am still waiting on a retainer refund. It was processed September 25, 2023. Today is the 23rd of October. I was told it would show up in my bank account by the first week of October.
Hello Randall,We understand how important your return of retainer is and our standard timeline has not been met on this occasion. For this, we deeply apologise. Due to an unforeseen issue with your payment, it will have to be rerun which has caused this delay. Again, we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this may have caused. You’re in contact with an agent now; once we reprocess your refund you will receive a correspondence letting you know that the payment processed successfully. All the best, Lorraine Brule Global Customer Service at Spaces

Do not trust this company
Do not trust this company. We have had so many issues with our contract that we are moving as a result. We agreed to a renewal date of 31st Jan, a contract was sent in error for 31st of Mach and someone inputted it as 30th April. Nobody will help us and the customer service team amount to automated responses of rejection, even though we have proved it to be their error. They have therefore left us stuck in a contract until April which isn't what we agreed to! The community managers are changed so frequently, it's impossible to get anything done.We have waited a year for a whiteboard to be put on the wall (still not done), the maintenance staff think it's ok to burst into our space mid meeting and test the lighting without warning and the cleaners leave a lot to be desired. The space is soulless with no atmosphere whatsoever. No facilities provided. We feel really let down and this is not what we expected from a reputable company.
Hi Barbara, I’m sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction. The renewal you refer to was accepted via one of the proposal emails you received and whilst you were unhappy with the information you were provided with, it was correct; a member of my team has since contacted you to assist and provided you with a resolution. Our team members can be relocated from time to time for operational reasons and whilst it’s something we prefer not to do it is sometimes necessary.I’m sorry to hear that the whiteboard was not installed as per your wishes, we’re looking at what went wrong here and although you no longer require it, we’ll be happy to ensure it’s fitted should you change your mind.I escalated your comments regarding the cleaning levels and maintenance team to your centre manager and she will be happy to discuss your concerns in more detail should you wish to; rest assured we will put these matters right.Kind regards,Lorraine BruleGlobal Customer Service at Spaces

Worst experience ever with such agency. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to rent anything with such people. We rented a house, we had so many problems with one person, Antonio Berruezo, police was also involved at all times. Previously many tenants had to also leave because of this person. Agency didn’t do anything about it. They never took care of our safety or any good condition at all for us to be living in a ok place but just asking for rent at the end of each month. They just care about ripping you out. Worst experience of my entire life. Had to leave property two months in advance but still paying for it. They didn’t care but sending me emails all day asking for money. Such a disgrace.
The agent is not party to the tenancy agreement however did everything possible to assist. The landlord also tried but it was extremely limited. Tenants on a jointed a severally liable tenancy agreement can best be described as a family, and it is not for a landlord or agent to get involved in a family dispute. The rental amount is one total sum and not set out in the tenancy agreement as individual amounts per person. The landlord therefore requested the full rent to be paid for each months the property was occupied. Advise was given where possible including which authorities to involved where appropriate.

Uncaring, unprofessional, and shady
Uncaring, unprofessional, and shady. Scottsdale Quarter Spaces. I rent 2 private offices. When my AC went out [in both offices] no one did anything or moved forward or communicated anything solid other than “we’ll see” and when I asked if that meant it could be days, weeks, or even months the manager said “yes”. I asked her this twice on two occasions. Same answer. It could be days, weeks, or months-absolutely no way to know. When I asked if they could call someone to get a a more concrete idea so I can make plans, she said no. So did her supervisor. Then…until after patiently waiting for any solid update for over a week I finally started emailing and calling everyone to try to move it forward. I spoke to the (I think this is her title, the managers Manager) district manager. Finally something started to happen. She admitted it had not been handled well or properly, and that it was "sweltering" in our offices. Two total weeks of no private office space later, hours of arguing with them to try to get them to make an effort to get me some solid info, or usable office space, then finally got it (hooray!) and they acted like they did me some big favor- to give me what I’m paying for. The unprofessionalism and indifference by the staff was shocking. It’s a revolving door of people and offices, because they are shady and treatment like this is the norm. I’ll be the next one to leave.
Hi Johnny, I understand that you’re disappointed, and I’m sorry to hear about this. The maintenance of our facilities is very important, and we can assure you of our highest standards. We do everything we can to put things right as soon as possible but issues such as this can take longer than we’d like due to engineer availability and the complexity of the repair that is required; I’m happy to hear that your situation has since been resolved.Your local team lead was informed of your situation and contacted you directly to assist and provided you with an alternative office space in the meantime.A member of my team has contacted you and you are also welcome to discuss these situations directly with your team lead whose contact details you have.Kind regards,Lorraine Brule Global Customer Service at Spaces

Terrible service
Terrible service. They don't follow up on things that are agreed. Invoicing is a mess and as a result late payment fees. We cancelled our office after one year because they wanted to raise the price by 35% suddenly where this wasn't even allowed by their own house rules.Edit:- About the late payment fees: You are looking at the wrong invoices. This problem happened in may - November 2022. As per feedback from your "community manager" there were issues with the invoicing system and it would be corrected. They overlooked the fact that certain costs would not be automatically invoiced. This was however was communicated as such to us. Afterwards they made an internal case but this wasn't approved your headquarters. Hence, Spaces does not take responsibility for their own mistakes. Moreover, you are invoicing September 2023 and charging late payment fees while our contract ended August 31 2023..- About the renewal price: it's not in line with the agreement terms. See below the articles of the 'general terms' and 'house rules'. The maximum is 5.4%. Nevertheless, +35% is current market price?! You must be kidding! The general terms state:4.7. The house rules state:"45. Jaarlijkse indexatie: Voor alle overeenkomsten met een looptijd langer dan 12 maanden is de toegepaste indexering 5.40%. Het indexatiepercentage wordt bijgewerkt tot driemaandelijks, maar in ieder geval op 1 januari en 1 juni van elk jaar."
Hi Simon, I’m very sorry to hear of your disappointment.Upon reviewing your account, it is accurate that you received a late fee since the direct debit payment was rejected due to the disputed authorised transactions from your end. Our invoices are payable no later than on the 15th day of the month. If payment is not received by the due date, we incur administration costs and, though we would like to avoid charging you for this, we must pass on a late fee to you. You can review invoice and payment dates on your statement of account, available in your online account (myspacesworks.com)We understand that you're unhappy with the increase in the renewal price. The renewal price will always prevail over the current market price which has been detailed in your agreement terms.Should you require further information or support in this matter, please feel free to contact your centre team directly.Best, Lorraine BruleGlobal Customer Service at Spaces

They won't return your deposit
It's been almost three months since I asked to return my deposit back. Spaces is the most incompetent, irresponsible, and slow organization that I've ever dealt with. I rented a dedicated desk for a month and the sum of my deposit is not that big. Can't imagine how people trust Spaces with contracts for a longer period of time. It's a huge loss of money
Hi Kateryna, We understand how important your return of retainer is and our standard timeline has not been met on this occasion. For this, we deeply apologise. Spaces
Spaces - Marlow, Buckinghamshire, UK: The front staff was actively unhelpful. They even refused to allow us more than one key card. I was there a year ago, and the staff was excellent. It was a poor, down-market, experience this time. I didn't even stay a whole day. I went and found another space immediately (for which I paid three times as much, just to be treated like a professional). You have a problem here. It's your unhelpful and uncooperative staff.
Hi James, I am sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction. You booked a day office for 1 person on 21 August and were allocated a 1 person office. You were then joined by your assistant which exceeded the office occupation and you were relocated to a second office. Subsequently your wife also joined the group so another change of office was needed and the local team showed you around the centre to the available spaces. We understand your wife’s frustration when we were unable to give you the offices she wanted but they were actively being used by other customers and thus unavailable. The staff didn’t refuse to give you an additional card. For safety reasons, only one card is issued to our day office customers; the system will not allow additional ones so an exception was not possible. The staff were very patient and certainly not “actively unhelpful” which is an unfair accusation based on the time they spent with you. A member of my team has been in touch to answer any further questions. Kind regards, Michelle SpireAssistant Global Customer Service at Spaces

Good and the Bad
Note: I have a shared office space and I've used shared offices with different companies in different states for years now. Good: Front desk staff are professional and nice. The entire space is spacious and well organized. The Bad: However, you are charged for everything such as mail, printing, copies, etc... Amenities are minimal: drinking water is the water fountain. The shared office desk is very small; my home living room side table is bigger. Spaces is great if you are looking for a private office but not for a shared one.

Go Somewhere Else
I only pay for a registered office and post handling. Emailed in September to be told I had post waiting. There was a collection of post dating back to December 2022, 10 months earlier. No one had been in touch to say there was any there. Not sure what I have been paying for. In addition; - Expensive compared to competitors- A very soulless service. - Shared workspace average.Response is incorrect - There were around 15 amounts of post dated from December 2022, February 2023, April 2023, June 2023, July 2023 and onwards. All from different senders including HMRC, Pensions Regulator, some junk mail and other government bodies. And it’s clear they are from HMRC (the ones dated December 2022) and hence should be treated with urgency. In addition one letter had ‘Return to Sender’ scribbled across the front, now the fact that I received it meant that someone must have caught this error, but it makes me concerned about what post may have been returned to sender. If you return a HMRC or companies house letter to sender, they freeze you HMRC accounts and companies house will start a strike off action to close down your company. These are both very serious for a business owner, and I have been personally involved in trying to resolve these issues for clients in the past, so I know the stress and problems that this can cause.
Hi Lisa, I’m very sorry to hear of your disappointment. The center always advise customers when their post has arrived. You contacted the local team on 26 April asking if there was any post and they replied that there was not. Your first post arrived around 21 August when the centre emailed you and asked you to come and pick it up. They also do a monthly check to make sure no items are missed and the local team are certain that no post was received prior to August. A member of my team has been in touch to answer any other questions you may have. Kind regards, Lorraine BruleGlobal Customer Service at Spaces

Poor administration causing major issues
Our organization rented two offices for 2+ years. This Spaces location outsources the billing function to other countries, and they could never get the invoices right, which affected our accounting and caused a huge administrative burden and potentially a legal risk. There was never anyone within Spaces who had the authority to solve these issues. While we liked the space and the amenities, unfortunately we had to leave for this reason.
Hi Carolina,There were some instances where you did receive incorrect figures on your receipts and I sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this may have caused. We have taken steps to make sure the process is smoother going forward. We wanted to thank you for your feedback and custom over the last few years.
