Hi Kateryna, I’m sorry to hear that you feel your experience has not met your expectations. However, I would like to clarify a few points within your feedback where I believe some of the information does not fully reflect the process that took place. We also invested a considerable amount of time assisting you throughout the tenancy process, including explaining each stage and attending the property on your behalf to locate and identify the water meter. We also arranged for you to go through the referencing process, despite this not being required in the usual circumstances, as you requested supporting documentation for your daughter’s school. On a number of occasions, we were also waiting for information or responses from you before we could progress matters, which unfortunately contributed to some of the delays. Regarding the clauses within the agreement, I did explain that we could look at including a clause allowing you to change the utility suppliers, subject to this being confirmed and agreed by the landlord. In relation to the clauses concerning visitors, these apply to anyone who is not named on the tenancy agreement. As part of our duty of care to the landlord, we need to be aware of anyone who may be residing at the property for a sustained period of time. We discussed a number of possible solutions with you in an attempt to reach an arrangement that worked for everyone, but unfortunately none of the options discussed were accepted.
