Googlethis is by far one of the worst agencies I have ever rented a flat from. overpriced, they didnt give me information on things about the flat, which cost me more money, they didnt tend to my maintenance issues and respond to me for about a month. I had toilet water all over my floor and they didnt even bother themselves to abide by the terms of the contract to fix this issue. I ended up paying for it and they still have not reimbursed me. they are so rude and accusatory... I've never in my life come across such a terrible agency... please do not rent from them, trust me - if i could give them negative 5000 stars i would, not even exaggerating. these people wasted my time and money - its been 1 month and they still havnt given my deposit - the charged me 2 and a half months of rent, and i found out this is illegal in london, they are allowed to charge 1 month or so. - not to mention, i had the apartment professionally cleaned and they just happened to "FEEL" like it wasnt clean ennough and charged me another 150pounds for another cleaning - they are unprofessional theives. i'd rather be homeless then do any sort of busniess venture with these sick people again

GoogleWe were looking for an investment property to purchase, arranged a viewing with this agent on Saturday a week in advance. A day before the viewing the agent tried to cancel our viewing - when I expressed my dissatisfaction, somehow their diary can fit us in again! Anyway, we went for viewing when agent was late, was specialising in letting not sales, and the other agent who supposedly prepared the brochures printed the wrong flat information... it was quite poor quality. After the viewing, I started receiving funny personal messages from the sales agent who is apparently supposed to “look after the sale” - clearly messages meant for her friends on a Saturday which is frankly just embarrassing and highly unprofessional. Despite the experience, we tried to make an offer on one of the flats viewed, the agent was rude throughout the process, making wild assumptions about me and my partner’s personal situations and overall just irritating and uncomfortable to deal with. They hold no grasp of the market, challenge our personal views and get argumentative for no reason. We eventually withdrew offer and went with another agent on another flat purchase. In my limited experience with property investments in the last three years, they are of rather poor quality and I would think twice about using them if I were the seller as it is a bad experience as a buyer. I don’t want to be too harsh to name the agent but she should not be pursuing this profession where interpersonal skills are essential.
[Update: this email (see photo) is sent to me after we withdrawn and said we do not want to be communicated again! The tone and condescension of the email should simply attract complaints!]

GoogleJack was honestly amazing, friendly and professional. He was on it, always keeping us up to date, very organised, everything was dealt with in an excellent timely manner. Within the first week our flat was let out. Portico staff all gave us I must say the best experience dealing with estate agents and we have dealt with several different ones. We highly highly recommend portico Lettings, specially Jack, he’s a star. Thank you guys for making this so easy and giving us everything we asked for.

GoogleOne of the consultants at Portico has been extremely kind and helpful in my search for a new place. He has been professional and made it easier for me to search the right place. His full name is Dmytro Dyriv and also known as Dima. I would definitely recommend Portico because of him.

Google2 months after we have moved in, the Portico Islington office has not been able to hand over a check-in inventory at all, reportedly because "there has been a problem in the system pulling it through". In addition to this fact showing a lack of organisation, they have utterly mishandled communications and we have had to repeatedly get back to them ourselves to know about the status of our inquiry. I can therefore safely state that the agency's claim of "listening to their customers" is erroneous. Think twice before choosing to work with them.

GoogleDiabolical service for the tenants and the landlord, our landlord recently decided to leave as the amount of time it took to get anything fixed was ridiculous. We never did any paperwork without them getting numerous things wrong, really the most shambolic company I've dealt with of any type!

GoogleUtterly awful and complete disregard for tenants. Failed to get a contract into place until more than 1 month into the tenancy. Failed to fix damp/leaking wall/roof for over 3 months. Do not use Portico if you expect good service or to get anything done.

GoogleAbsolutely disgusted by the so called 'customer service' they provide. I'm appalled that such an estate agent can continue doing business with this level of service. PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

GooglePortico is the worst agency ever.
They do not care about the tenants but just about the money.
I am living in a flat in Clapham junction which has many big problem such as mould and old boiler that it doesn't work and waste energy and water. The agency never helps to fix any of this serious problem.
Bad experience ever.

GoogleAlthough we didn't find a place through them in the end, I found Portico and Meera were helpful and proactive in my interaction with them. They would even let me know about properties they thought would be of interest before they were live online.

GoogleAh, what a shame I'm having to edit my previous review, considering they sent me a Amazon gift voucher when I gave 5 stars 15 months ago. Yes, Portico were so wonderfully responsive, helpful and efficient in our relationship right up until the point where we signed the contract and moved in. Minor house issues took weeks and months to resolve and we must have dealt with a dozen different faceless employees. It is now over 3 months since our contract ended and we have not had our deposit returned, with no response to communications to the office on the matter.
If it were possible to give 0 stars I would.
