GooglePortico significantly underperformed my very low expectations of a letting agent. Their lack of knowledge, organisation and professionalism led to a simple transaction taking over 6 weeks and nearly falling through several times. They blamed the series of delays and complications on a “difficult landlord” (their description of their client) who, since moving in, has proved to be very responsive and easy to deal with. Tenants unfortunately can’t choose which agent to deal with, but based on this experience I’d suggest that landlords steer well clear.

GoogleI was genuinely blown away by the service I received from Portico. Matthew Norris has changed my opinion on estate agents with his honest, professional and friendly approach. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he was always willing to go above and beyond. From his negotiation skills when putting the offer forward to his prompt and willing approach whilst dealing with leasehold pack issues which arised during the difficult progression of the sale, he was always there as a calming voice and to get the problems solved. Matthew is a credit to the Portico team and I would look no further if you’re trying to decide which London agent to go with.

I only went on one viewing with Matthew and purchased the property, but I will definitely return to him for future purchases!

GoogleWe have just moved into a place in Highbury, and have been delighted with the support from the Portico team, particularly with Mike, who oversaw our application from start to finish. This is the first experience with a flat in London. The guys were courteous, proactive, and straightforward to communicate with. Would recommend.

GoogleMatthew was very pleasant to deal with, confirming our appointment and then calling me again, nearer the scheduled time, which I appreciated. He was knowledgable about the wide area in which I am looking and advised both on property sales and potential rental incomes. I am in very much the lower end of the price range in Highbury but Matthew was courteous throughout our appointment, answering all my questions and addressing my concerns.

GoogleSold through Portico. They send detailed reports when asked for and were always extremely pleasant to deal with. Offered a competitive commision. Sometimes viewing times weren't communicated brilliantly, but mostly a very good service. What was really impressive is their aftercare. The whole team, especially Matthew dealt with the actual sale brilliantly. Matthew went above and beyond and helped us deal with an issue with the estate agent we were purchasing from, which was really impressive. And everyone in the office has been great with all the post sale enquiries and help I have needed. Thanks!

GoogleAbsolute disappointment. We have scheduled a property viewing, received a confirmation message. Initially we were very interested in the apartment, David was super nice to us. In the end, we came across the entire city (we were coming from SE London to Northern part) to our scheduled appointment, nobody was there, Charlotte's phone was off, office didn't pick up until 10:45. We were waiting from 9:45. The worst of all we were coming with an 18-month-old toddler, and it was freezing cold and raining outside. Charlotte was quite rude on the phone, saying she didn't know anything about the viewing and the apartment was rented anyways. Very upsetting. We have lost 2 more viewings because of this property that day, and it was the only day for us to choose a house to live. I think it was highly irresponsible and inappropriate. We haven't received not even a simple apology. I definitely do not recommend this agency, they have got a mess in their system if they don't know about each other's appointments.

GoogleI recently moved in a 1 bedroom flat, the process was very smooth, the flat was clean when we got there and Nathan, our property manager, made sure that small issues were dealt with professionally and in a very short time. Thanks Portico!

GoogleTotal waste of time. The agent we dealt with only cared about rushing us to make large deposits of money in short a amount of time and only had poor customer service in return. They do not deliver their promises and are untrustworthy. Stay away!

Googleshockingly inept for an agency that claims to be high-end. They do not care, and they will keep hold of your money. They have no idea what is going on at any time Standard London estate agents, just more of a rip-off than most.
