GooglePortico - Highbury are a pleasure to deal with. David Dyer was very professional & knowledgeable at each and every step of the house buying process, along with keeping me informed with regards to solicitors and parties involved on a regular basis. If you are looking for an agent, definitely get in touch and look no further!

GoogleThank you Shaun & Dmytro for being such a dynamic duo; they always answered my questions succinctly and holistically, enabling me to make an informed decision with regard to renting a property in the Bloomsbury area.

GoogleUnbelievably poor service in every way. It's really amazing and flabbergasting how bad the Portico 'service' is. I was a tenant for ten years (luckily not anymore) with them as a management company. Portico were utterly awful in every way: service, communication (both amongst themselves and with us), organization, competence, basic courtesy, turnover, often intelligence.
This organization must have ENTIRELY the wrong leadership and training. (Even when we were looking to buy a flat, their listing did not show a floor plan, and the agent took over THREE WEEKS to get back to our email that expressed interest in viewing a flat?!
I could fill a book with examples of how poor Portico is. I wish even one person they had seemed like they were professional.
I cannot wish them upon anyone. Do be warned!
This "award-winning" nonsense is obviously rigged in some way.
They do deserve a reward for Utter Ineptness, I suppose.

GoogleDiabolical service for the tenants and the landlord, our landlord recently decided to leave as the amount of time it took to get anything fixed was ridiculous. We never did any paperwork without them getting numerous things wrong, really the most shambolic company I've dealt with of any type!

GoogleUtterly awful and complete disregard for tenants. Failed to get a contract into place until more than 1 month into the tenancy. Failed to fix damp/leaking wall/roof for over 3 months. Do not use Portico if you expect good service or to get anything done.

GoogleTerrible estate agent being unfair to the landlord by providing a terrible property management, innacurate check out reports and wasting a lot of time to sort things out, not releasing the rent to the landlord, not returning calls or replying to emails. All this whilst the tenant pays no fees to them and they collect the fees from the landlord only. Also they retain landlord’s money by refusing to pay the rent to the landlord. Still waiting for my September rent. Would strongly recommend not to have anything to do with these guys. A bunch of amateurs as they haven’t got a bloody clue!!

GooglePossibly one of the worst estate agents I've had to encounter, they can take a while to respond to e-mails. However we are still experiencing issues with out flat since we have moved in, even after the landlord had given the go ahead for them to fix them. They don't give the landlord any feedback on what needs doing once one of their 'handymen' have popped round to check what ever needs fixing. Honestly if you are a landlord or even a tenant I'd stay well away from portico unless you want to waste your time and money. I'll never be going with them again! They are a very disorganised bunch of people.

GoogleWe had a very good experience with Portico when we recently found a house to rent in Clapham, thanks to them.
Bianca who managed all the process has always been very kind, professional and reactive to our questions and details needed.
I liked very much the easy and comfortable process of registering and signing all the documents and tenancy agreement electronically through their Portico channel.
All was extremely well organised and fluent from the first visit until the key’s possession.
We even had easily and quick contact with the rent managing team afterwards.
Thanks again Bianca and all the team!

GoogleWe were so dissatisfied with Portico's service that both us (tenants) and our landlord decided to move to another agency. It is no wonder they have to change the name & branding of the Firm every two year to make up for the bad client experience !

GoogleI worked with Meera & Megan to find a flat. It was such a great experience start to finish. I am from the US and they really helped me understand the market and were a great source of information for my first London flat! Meera was very responsive and a great source of knowledge. Also loved the personal touches Portico provided when I moved into my flat! (mug, toilette paper, shopping bag, and local favorites) I would 100% recommend Portico for anyone looking to find a rental in London!

Googlethis is by far one of the worst agencies I have ever rented a flat from. overpriced, they didnt give me information on things about the flat, which cost me more money, they didnt tend to my maintenance issues and respond to me for about a month. I had toilet water all over my floor and they didnt even bother themselves to abide by the terms of the contract to fix this issue. I ended up paying for it and they still have not reimbursed me. they are so rude and accusatory... I've never in my life come across such a terrible agency... please do not rent from them, trust me - if i could give them negative 5000 stars i would, not even exaggerating. these people wasted my time and money - its been 1 month and they still havnt given my deposit - the charged me 2 and a half months of rent, and i found out this is illegal in london, they are allowed to charge 1 month or so. - not to mention, i had the apartment professionally cleaned and they just happened to "FEEL" like it wasnt clean enough and charged me another 150pounds for another cleaning - they are unprofessional theives. i'd rather be homeless than do any sort of business venture with these sick people again

GoogleI have dealt with a good number of Lettings Agents over the years (both as a landlord and a tenant) and have to say that the service I received from Portico in Highbury (specifically Ed Lugg, the branch manager) has been nothing short of fantastic.
The staff all seem well-trained, are personable and knowledgable. Ed demonstrated a deep understanding of his client's motivations and likely reactions to the not-uncomplicated rental offer we put-forward. This made everyone's lives easier; we were comforted, as we felt we were dealing with a very straight-down-the-line outfit.
Bravo, folks! I hope it wasn't a fluke. If more tenants in London had the experience we did, I think the world would be a happier place! :-) Highly recommended, from our experience.
