GoogleMcFarlane have been an absolute pleasure to deal with throughout the purchase of our house. Christina has kept in touch with regular updates, guiding us through every step of the process as well as keeping the momentum going in the chain, chasing solictors and developers. Christina’s kindness and warmth was greatly appreciated (and needed) throughout the stressful twists and turns of moving. I would highly recommend McFarlane in Cricklade.

GoogleMy Experience with Mcfarlane Lettings was nothing short of amazing. My letting agent was Anita and she was absolutely brilliant. She kept me well informed about everything and really supported me throughout. Looking to rent was really daunting and quiet stressful thing for me but Anita really made me feel at ease and made feel confident through my decision making. I could call and ask about anything I was not sure of and she always made time for me.

GoogleI have to say the service from the team in Cricklade was excellent. Tim and Bradley guided a very inexperience person through the whole sale process and securing the new owners. Christina was brilliant, weekly updates, friendly. Could not have had a better sales progressor. Highly recommend them.

Sadly, we had to deal with Jo Costin of the Wood Street, Swindon branch as her company were selling the house we wanted to buy. She introduced herself by email, as "I will be dealing with the progression of your purchase". - it took 3 or 4 emails before she got the house number correct. - her congrats email on the day we exchanged gave an incorrect completion date - but the worst was the state of the house on completion. The house, garden and garage were full of the tenants' unwanted cr*p. I'd have thought that she might have sent someone in to check the house which McFarlanes had been renting out for the absent owners for years. But appently that's not her department and therefore not her responsibility. The most galling aspect was Jo Costin telling me it was our solicitor's responsibility because they should have advised us to view the property again before exchanging contracts! These are the consequences, for us, in dealing with a large company where blame is shunted between different departments and different people, ending up with no-one taking responsibility and things not getting done. We will be suing for breach of contract.

Both my solicitor and the buyers solicitors dragged their heels over really minor points and Christina really committed to getting the sale over the line.
