GoogleVery upset! My partner and I were due to view a flat in cricklade, the night before we received an email saying the viewing was still going ahead. Barely 2 hours before our viewing my partner received an email saying “your viewing has been cancelled” no explanation at all. So my partner phoned up and was told the flat had been let. Even tho it wasn’t available to let until September. May as-well have listed it as “first come first server” because by the looks of things, no one else gets a chance after one persons shown interest. Didn’t even have a chance to view it or get close to looking into placing a holding deposit. This was going to be our first ever rental. Disgraceful and unprofessional. Can safely say we’ll be looking at other letting agencies in the future. Nice way to destroy a young couples hope at freedom.

Hi Shannon, it's disappointing to see the review you have left today. We are sorry that you missed out on this property but the property in question has been on the market for 42 days giving plenty of time to enquire and book a viewing before now. Yesterday, the property remained available but unfortunately, it just happened to be that an earlier viewing of the property came forward with an application this morning. It was explained to the landlord that there were further viewings booked in but the landlord deemed the application received as suitable and as such was accepted and a holding deposit paid. Under the Tenant Fee Act 2019, once a holding deposit is received we are no longer permitted to market a property or continue viewings which is why we had to cancel your appointment. My colleague tried to call your partner to advise that the property had been let and to see if we could offer any other suitable properties for you to view. Unfortunately, there was no answer to our call so a voicemail was left and a follow up email and SMS sent to inform him of the cancellation. We would be more than happy to offer viewings at any other property we have advertised that you believe may be suitable and should you wish to receive property alerts for new listings then please give the office a call on 01793 611841 and this can be setup for you if it hasn't already. GoogleI can compare two Sales Progressors, one for the sale and another for the purchase of our home. Natalie, who helped us purchase our present home, was ourstanding, keeping us informed, pressing for information from the sellers, and was an exemplar of what a sales progessor should be. The exact opposite of our experience of selling our former home nearly 100 miles away where the Sales Progressor changed three times in 6 months. Thank you Natalie, you are a very special Sales Progressor.

GoogleI have had a very positive experience with the estate agents as they were kind and understanding with my situation,first contact was with Tianah that was very professional and courteous then proceeded with Natalie that was involved in every single step of the way since she took over all the way to the end,cannot be thankful enough with the ladies that I will definitely visit them when my schedule allows me,I would highly recommend working with the above named (could be others too but haven’t dealt with someone else yet) for their involvement and kindness and friendly. GoogleI had a viewing with Ollie last week, and what a friendly, polite and knowledgeable young man he is. He arrived early at the property, which is a huge bonus in itself, answered all my questions and was fabulous from start to finish. I didn’t feel rushed, which I have felt in the past with other Estate Agents, and he put me completely at ease. The communication before and after the viewing was spot on. I would absolutely recommend Ollie (and McFarlane’s) to deal with all your property requirements.

GoogleI recently purchased a house from McFarlane and I have to commend them on their absolute professionalism and dedication to making the journey as painless as possible. Nothing was too much trouble for any members of the team. I'd like to give a big shout out to Christina who was my contact, she was a pleasure to speak with and made sure I was kept in the loop the whole way. She was very knowledgeable and made sure the legal process kept moving at pace. GoogleWe had an amazing experience with Christina at McFarlane Cricklade. From start to finish, she handled everything with so much professionalism, care, and attention to detail.Being in a property chain can be incredibly stressful, and there were definitely days when it felt totally overwhelming. At one point, the chain was completely stalled, but Christina intervened and completely turned things around. She was in constant touch with the solicitors and the other estate agents, and I truly believe it was because of her relentless involvement and persistence that the chain finally progressed. Christina was there every step of the way with regular updates, a calm attitude, and the determination to keep things moving. Her push and support made all the difference.She communicated brilliantly, chased everyone she needed to, and always made us feel like a priority. McFarlane is lucky to have her on the team. Rachel was amazing during the viewings, warm and always helpful and happy to answer any questions we had, and she handled the price negotiations perfectly to make the final sale completely smooth. Speaking to Christina was always a pleasure. She made sure that the chain kept progressing and delivered brilliantly. When we wanted to head back to the property, Oliver was incredibly accommodating and sorted out the extra viewings without any hassle. The whole team kept us updated the entire time. I highly recommend them to anyone buying a home!

We met Ollie who was very professional and knowledgeable. He answered all of our questions and gave us time to view the property without any pressure. Fingers crossed for an offer on our property so we can potentially progress the viewing further.

GoogleI purchased my house through McFarlane, Tianah was great during the initial viewings and Natalie was fantastic throughout the process at keeping me informed and chasing the solicitor/ relevant parties. Only downside was the time taken of 6 months from the offer being accepted to getting the keys. The bottle of Prosecco upon collecting the keys was a nice touch too!

Very professional always keeping me updated and with a great positive attitude during stressful time. I was very impressed with the way she gave the solicitors space to do there job but when needed give them a little nudge to keep the sale moving forward. GoogleSelling our property has been a long and at times stressful process, a difficult chain with one problem after another at the bottom end. But from start to finish, McFarland were brilliant. We got a great, competitive rate, the property was marketed effectively, and we found a buyer quickly. Oliver and Tim were excellent throughout, but I have to give a special mention to Christina, who was simply outstanding in the final stages. She worked tirelessly to keep the chain moving, stayed on top of every issue, chased relentlessly, and kept us informed every step of the way. I genuinely don't think we'd have got this over the line without her. If you want an agent who will fight for you from start to finish, McFarland are the ones to call. Highly recommended, and thank you again.
