My dealings with Mather Marshall’s have been really good to date. They do try to respond to any query as quickly as they can - which is hard to do internationally! We have had ongoing issues with our tenant and I know that Lynsi has helped significantly with our insurance coverage and the best way to get our property back from the evading tenants we have had. In addition Theresa has been very thorough with any repairs and maintenance with the property and it’s been a pleasure dealing with her also. 4 stars as the relationship overall was rocky at first - but compared to other agents I think they’re great and I’m glad we chose them. Definitely have peace of mind that my property is in good hands! Thank you for all your help!

They are the best letting and managing agent I have ever come across. The entire process from property viewing, property management and even the end of tenancy check-out was so smoothly arranged. As a landlord of a property but who is living overseas, I have had my fair share disappointing experiences with estate agents. I need a property management agent I could trust. And that's what I got with Mather Marshall. I have used their lettings management service for about 9 years and recently used the sales team to sell my property. The lettings service was great. Very professional and reliable. The sales team also did a fantastic job. I liaised with Barry, the sales manager, and he did a sterling job in selling my apartment in what were a tricky market conditions. I would have no hesitation in recommending these guys to any landlords who wants a professional and reliable lettings management company, or for anyone else who is looking to sell their property.

I really recommend Barry and the team at Mather Marshall. Their no nonsense approach to our house sale was excellent. We asked 3 agents to give us a valuation and Barry immediately stood out in his realistic approach and knowledge of Stevenage. We didn't decide to sell until several months later and he didn't hassle us in the gap, unlike the other agents. We were sold within a month of listing and for close to asking price. Which given the market at that time was very impressive.

Deposit refund process was very difficult, took a long time to resolve No response to some of the emails and calls made to this agent during office hours- keeps going to voice msg. Delayed my refund process by not providing adequate information to DPS about me. wont be back.

Barry and the team at Mather were invaluable in selling our house. Without Barry helping to construct and manage the chain for us and our buyer I'm not sure that in a tough property market it would have happened at all. We would recommend Mather without hesitation, it really was a much better experience than we could have hoped for. It was nice to deal with people we trust and who were so helpful along the way.

I used Mather Marshall to advertise and sell 2 properties. The first one sold fairly easily however the second one has lingered so long I have taken off as a for sale and now let it. Sophie and the staff were very good throughout keeping me updated each time there was a viewing. The fees charged were par for the market so I will return to them next time I need to sell.

Had a viewing of a house with them, they turned up on time and agent was lovely and friendly and professional. Decided to rent the property and everything went through quickly and easily. There was a small confusion over the normal deposit and NIL deposit contract but was resolved extremely quickly and easily by the lovely agent Amy in charge of me. Mather Marshall did a good job of selling our house. They set an appropriate sale price and then worked hard to achieve it - they set it at over 25K more than another agent and delivered. They worked hard to get viewers through the door and make sure they were qualified. After the sale was agreed Linda worked hard to make sure it progressed and made sure we were well informed and helped to resolve blockers. If selling another house in Hertfordshire I would absolutely use them again.

My partner and I were first-time buyers, Mather Marshall and especially Sam Cox had been extremely helpful throughout the whole process. Sam had been very hands-on from the first time we saw the house we bought until the exchange of contracts. We were always able to reach him and through the process was there to assist both sides. Furthermore, there are a lot of agents that will pressure you to meet their brokers before you even view a property, thankfully with Mather Marshall we didn't have these pressing techniques, we got a recommendation of an amazing broker from them (that we ended up using!), but never felt the pressure to proceed with their people. Overall, we had a very pleasant experience with Sam, he went the extra mile to accommodate our needs and kept a very good balance between the sellers and us. We love our new house and we are very thankful to Sam for all his support.

We had our late parents property on the market for over a year when someone recommended using Mather Marshall . Duncan was honest and straight forward. Their fee is not the cheapest in the area but also not the most expensive but I must stress that it is worth every penny and they do go the extra mile. They got viewings, set up a family "Whatsapp " group with updates, which was fantastic for my Brother who lives in New York and they sold the property within a month. When we had some unusual issues with the land registry and rather than loose the sale, they suggested renting the property to our buyer until completion, which was a fantastic idea, rather than loose the sale. A massive thanks to all the team, especially Sam & Duncan.

Good old fashioned service

Darren provided an excellent and a above and beyond service, (without being one of those annoying agents), which was much needed to push along a painfully slow and unhelpful solicitor. There may be cheaper competitors but they do not necessarily provide such service, which you don't fully appreciate until you need it. I would definitely recommend him.

Not quite what we had hoped for

Very friendly when property first put on the market, they found a buyer who was unable to proceed as had not sold and as they were selling through one of their other branches we felt pur property wasnt being pushed as much as it should have been, was like being reserved, very quiet, no real updates, then when we gave notice to list with another agent, there was interest again. We were told our buyer was a cash buyer, which it turned out not to be. Once a price was agreed it wasnt long before we were being chased to move out of our house even though our buyer wasnt ready, but kept getting told they were by the agent. No communication between exchange until completion day, and as first time sellers we didnt really know what to expect. Also the solicitor recommendation was awful.
