Avoid if you possibly can. We had problems with this agent both during and after our tenancy. They offer no help, and if anything goes wrong with the property (even if it's clearly not the fault of the tenant) they will try their best to blame the tenants. If you have the misfortune of using them, pay close attention to the check-in documents (and keep copies) and document even the smallest of marks, discolouration or cracks in paint or any surfaces. If they can make you pay for something at the end of your tenancy, they will. Expect zero when it comes to customer service. There are other review sites with similar sentiments expressed by others who have had the misfortune of using JW Wood - I would encourage you to read further.

They can be great 9-5 but if you ever have a problem outside of working hours then good luck getting any help!

First time selling my house & JW Wood at bishop Auckland have been excellent. Nothing is ever too much trouble especially as selling a house can be very stressful! Ryan has been our contact at bishop & cannot fault the service.

We had a water leak that woke us up and started flooding the bathroom, so we rang the out of hours contact to ask him how to turn the water off, he told us how to and seemed friendly enough... The next morning I rang the office to ask them when they would be here to fix it as we had no water until they did. I was placed on hold for a little while then the woman on the other end began a complete elaborate lie saying that we had rang them up and told them that we were all drunk and ended up knocking the shower off the wall, I told her we said nothing of the sort but still she proceeded to enforce her complete lie. We specifically said on the phone that we were all asleep and the bang woke us all up, she kept mentioning it and hinting that we would have to pay for it even though we said nothing of the sort. Very poor behaviour on their behalf.

Avoid like the plague. Nice until you want to move out.

Five Star!
Fantastic Service throughout the process, taking a lot of the stress away from my family and I usually associated with moving. May charge a little more than the rest, but your paying for the best!
