I would recommend Homewise to anyone…

I would recommend Homewise to anyone buying property (aged 60 & over) Rhonda and Simi went above and beyond in helping me find and secure my first ever home for life. They made it stress free all I had to was view the properties I liked, and they did the rest for me. I will be forever grateful for their help and homewise. Thank you.

"Hom-NOTSO- Wise"

I initially got in touch with "Homewise" on behalf of my mother. Her being a widow and 69, shes needing to downgrade the size of the house as its to much to manage allone. I did some research as usual on Trustpilot and Feefo just to diversify my sources of info. However I trust and use Trust Pilot more. What concerned me was instead of mentioning more about the process adn the fact they are almost similar to a compare the market firm who sell on your data, the website has heavy sections teaching you how to leave google reviews and trust pilot reviews. I now understadn why their rating is so high yet the services are slightly ambiguos. Spoke to lovely sales agent on phone, but again. I find it hard withso much misformation nowadays. They get 2 stars from em as i dont think anyone over 60 would research as much as i have, so in my eyes misleading, and profit motivated more than actaully aiding people like Mummy. Thanks again Trust pilot for keeping your reviews pure! Sorry Homewise, but its Wise for me to use another company :(

Thank you for your feedback. It's always best to research your options and it's great to hear you had a good call with our team. We pride ourselves on being open and honest in every conversation, and are always happy to answer any questions you may have. The website offers an introduction but, as every Home for Life Plan is tailored to the individual, it's always best to chat through how it can work for you and your mum specifically. The plan helps people secure a better home for thousands less than the full market price, with no rent, mortgage or interest to pay. This can be a real relief and our customers (who are typically in their 70s) often ask us how they can leave feedback for the help they received. So we have guides to help them navigate the review sites. Every review is genuine and independent, whether left by the customer or their family. We're a family-run business, not a comparison site, financial lending service or government scheme. We support customers through every step of their move at no cost, and every property is subject to our criteria and approval process. It won't be right for everyone, but it can be life-changing for those we do help. If you still have questions, or ever want to explore the Home for Life saving again, we'll be at the end of the phone anytime. We hope your mum finds the perfect home for her needs. Best regards, Jess (on behalf of Homewise)

The house I was purchasing was in an…

The house I was purchasing was in an area where other houses was going cheaper but they hiked the price up with structural issues like severe damp throughout the home, water leaks from chimney breast and crumbling walls all hidden behind wall paper but despite this the asking price was higher than other selling homes similar and had the nerve to agree to me going half on repairs accepted my offer but even then the offer I made was still higher than what the other homes in the area was asking for with lots of work need doing I felt this was wrong in the end the seller refused to lower the price I withdrew due to this issue plus her solicitor didn't answer all the questions from enquiries plus the seller appeared rude when ask a question regarding the property which didn't have insurance and it wasn't registered I felt it was not worth the money even my offer it was overpriced I felt I couldn't trust this estate agent to be honest again in the future I was glad I withdrew my offer as this wouldn't have been a good investment they remarked it for some other gullible person to buy at the same hiked up price if you want to sell a home pricey at least repair it and refurbish it that to me will justify the price hike but to hike up the price more than other homes in the area and leave it in such a state of disrepair is completely taking the biscuit also it's good to note the other homes going as much as £10,000 cheaper was in much better repair I couldn't make this up if I tried it's unbelievable.

Annabel · 11 May 2026 · Homewise Worthing (1 Liverpool Gardens)

Agent replied · 11 October 2026

Thank you for your feedback Annabel, although there may have been a misunderstanding and we'd be happy to chat through any questions to clear things up. Homewise offers an alternative option where people aged 60+ can pay thousands less than the market price to live in their chosen home, mortgage-free and rent-free, for life. It's not the same as buying property the traditional way and won't be the right choice for everyone. But we're proud to help people secure their dream homes and peace of mind in retirement. That's been the goal of our family-run business since the 1970s, and our customers rate our support very highly. Anyone exploring their options should fully understand how the process works before making any decision. Customers are encouraged to involve family if they wish, and must seek independent legal advice before any purchase. As every plan is unique, we'd recommend chatting to our team to see how it could work for you. It doesn't sound like we've spoken yet, so please give us a call any time if you're 60+ and would like to discuss your options. Best regards, Jess (on behalf of Homewise)

Initial contact, email information and phone conversations were all very informative and professional. We felt confident that the process of selling our home and moving to a new house in a new area would be as stress-free as possible with Homewise offering support, communication and guidance through the process. We are at the beginning of the road with Homewise - so far, so good.

This morning, I have had a 'future planning' telephone conversation with Gary Moores, a Homewise specialist advisor. Although not ready to act yet, I want to share my recommendation: Gary was helpful, polite and very efficient; he knew all the answers to my Homewise questions, and was able to 'think on his feet' while I shared our situation and wishes for various eventualities. I am extremely reassured by our conversation and now feel completely relaxed about moving forward (at 79, with my husband of 85) into a future where our old age presents possibilities within which Homewise will be able to help, whatever the variations may be. Thank you Gary, and thank you Homewise. Angela. Now, 7 months later I have been working with Homewise again, and I have received the same wonderful support from them with my unpredictable changed circumstances. This time, I have been ready to make an important move for a new life, and because of my previous experience with Homewise I turned to them to help bring it about, knowing they would 'hold my hand'. Homewise, and I are now towards the conclusion of our process, and I am so delighted with everything they have been doing with me and for me. Sam Stevens, my designated client account manager (again), has at all times been incredibly efficient and competent, and always prompt in his responses to any questions or needs I have presented to him - and always with a friendly and caring manner. So, once again, I say a sincere 'thank you' to Homewise for providing me with a tailor-made solution carefully developed and exactly right for me. Angela.

Please read the ‘small print ‘

Homewise tried their best to help me proceed with a property I liked, but when my Buyer pulled out of my sale at the last minute , everything fell apart.

Karen · 6 May 2026 · Homewise Worthing (1 Liverpool Gardens)

Agent replied · 31 May 2026

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We know how upsetting it can be when a sale falls through, especially after so much time and preparation. Sadly, property chains can break down through circumstances outside everyone’s control, and we understand how particularly hard that is when you were ready to move. It means a lot to hear that you were pleased with how hard Homewise tried to support you. We pride ourselves on giving dedicated support throughout the journey and working closely with our customers over many months, free of charge. We appreciate how disappointing it is to lose money when a move doesn't go ahead and you’re not able to settle into your new home as planned. The £895 fee mentioned covered costs and work already undertaken as part of the purchase process, including the survey work carried out on your chosen property before the move was cancelled, which unfortunately meant the fee could not be refunded. The moving process can be incredibly stressful, especially when plans change suddenly. We hope that, should you ever wish to resume searching for a new home in the future, you won’t hesitate to reach out to Homewise again. We’ll be here to help. Best regards, Jess On behalf of Homewise

Disappointing experience

Disappointing experience. Took time off work to attend a viewing, only to have the agent discuss a live offer with the seller in front of me during the appointment. It made for a really awkward and unprofessional situation. While they later acknowledged it could have been handled differently, they ultimately stood by their actions. Needless to say, I wouldn’t feel confident trusting them to handle a sale or purchase. Basic discretion during viewings shouldn’t be too much to expect.

Thank you for your honest feedback. We're genuinely sorry your viewing experience didn't meet the standard you, and we, would expect.
