We had developed a close relationship with Nick over a number of years and had always valued his advice. When he came to our house to value the property, we trusted his approach and instructed Henry Adams, despite other estate agents suggesting that we could achieve a higher price. At that same visit, we gave Nick a bottle of champagne as a small thank-you for his help and guidance over the years. To Henry Adams’ credit, they sold the property relatively quickly. Unfortunately, the service from that point onwards was extremely disappointing. The relationship and level of communication we had expected simply disappeared. We had very little ongoing contact with Nick, communication with the wider team was poor, and at times their inexperience was obvious. On one occasion, our buyers actually arrived at the property for a second viewing when the date and time had not even been properly confirmed with us. Similar communication problems were experienced by the buyers and other estate agents involved in the chain. After exchange, I wrote directly to Henry Adams to explain how disappointed we had been with the handling of the sale. Given the issues we had raised, I expected at the very least a proper apology and some acknowledgement that the service had fallen below the standard we had been led to expect. Instead, there was effectively nothing. From that point onwards, we heard almost nothing from Henry Adams other than brief correspondence concerning the handover of keys. There was no meaningful follow-up after completion, no note thanking us for our business and no real sense that a longstanding client relationship mattered once the transaction had completed. I mention the lack of even a card or bottle of wine not because we expected a gift, but because it illustrated the complete absence of aftercare or acknowledgement, particularly after I had specifically raised concerns about the service. The fee for selling our property was more than £9,000. For that level of commission, I would expect excellent communication, experienced handling of the transaction and a high level of client care throughout the process. Instead, once the property had been sold, the service deteriorated significantly. Overall, while Henry Adams succeeded in finding a buyer quickly, the subsequent handling of the transaction and complete lack of meaningful response to our concerns made the service exceptionally poor value for money.

We instructed Henry Adams Estate Agents to market and sell our father’s house following his move into residential care. Will and Abi have been fantastic throughout the very difficult sale of dad’s property with a sale falling through at the last minute due to unreliable purchasers. Henry Adams marketed the property extremely well, kept us informed at all times and due to the distance from our home to dads property, took care of many things for us that we just couldn’t do due to distance. We could not recommend Henry Adams highly enough. They (especially Will and Abi) have been fantastic throughout and I can’t thank them enough for their hard work and due diligence throughout.Will removed a lot of stress throughout the process and gave us confidence throughout. We have now completed on the sale and my dad now has financial security for his care for years to come which is a huge relief. Thank you to all at Henry Adams and Will. We would not hesitate in recommending their services for anyone looking to sell a property especially in these challenging times. Latest Review: 18th August 2026 We purchased our house via Henry Adams, Horsham over a year ago and had such stellar service from them then, that when it was time to sell up and move back to London, we did not hesitate in contacting them once again. William Papworth came round to do the valuation with his usual uber-competent, warm and professional manner and his now famous catch-phrase “leave it with me” all which left us feeling reassured that yet again, we were in very good hands - I am pleased to say that this confidence we had in him proved not to be misplaced. The sale was primarily handled by Abi Weller who made sure all the viewings were booked at a time that worked for us, duly kept the lines of communication open, promptly updated us on any developments and smoothed out any potential hiccups; we literally handed over the property keys to Henry Adams and let them do what they do best - i.e get us the best market price for our property (in this case, the full asking price) from the most reliable buyer, within a reasonable time-frame, which, in a sluggish property market, is certainly not a feat to be sniffed at! Three cheers one again to the delightful & professional team at Henry Adams, Horsham branch for yet another smooth and satisfactory property transaction: Hip-hip-hip - hurrah!! ************* We bought our house from Henry Adams  Estate Agents and right from the first viewing, knew we were in capable hands. We were taken round the property by the estate agent (William Papworth) who was extremely helpful, polite, and professional; he also gave us useful pointers  and information on the area which was quite helpful as we were moving from London and quite new to the town. We went back a few times for further viewings and though it was obviously a popular property, we never felt rushed or pressured into making an offer, neither were we given any pushy sales talk; instead we were patiently and politely shown round each time by the agents. When we finally did make an offer that was accepted, the treatment we received from the staff at Henry Adams was in stark contrast to that of the estate agents who were handling the sale of our property; unlike the latter, Henry Adams (specifically William Papworth) patiently and diligently supported us through the whole process, keeping us informed at every point in what proved to be a tricky and complicated sale; he never let go of our hand once and was always patient and reassuring while pretty much holding the chain together - his famous phrase at the end of each phone conversation “Leave it with me..” was comforting because we knew that he would indeed tackle the problem head-on resulting in positive outcomes. While William Papworth was easily the M.V.P of the whole sales process, we’d also like to give a big shout-out to the other professional and cheerful team players we dealt with either in person or over the phone - Will2 and Aly - we see you! Together, the team at Henry Adams set a whole, new and lofty standard for estate agents far and wide to emulate and our only regret was that we did not sell our property through them.

**SHOCKING ESTATE AGENT** Absolutely abysmal service from this estate agent, quick enough to move you in then when there is a problem they’re no where to be seen. Had non stop mould problems with the property we rented and when we finally managed to consult them about this issue it took MONTHS for someone to even visit and do a damp and mould report… the estate agent tried to blame me for the mould issue which is unbelievable! When I received the report, they clearly HAD NOT read it because it says there is insufficient ventilation in the property and a part of the wall had a poor air brick therfor allowing water ingress. Also noting the fact that one of the ventilation fans didn’t work, also mentioned in the report. Then they started to blame the tumble drier, which was supplied by our landlord and was letting off “EXTREME” levels of humidity… None of them have a clue what they’re doing… and now I’ve got no furniture due to the issues as I’ve had to throw it all out. They basically lied us off to say they don’t care. As the report said “all proposed works should be undertaken”, None of the proposed works except the tumble drier inspection was carried out, and even that proved useless so we requested a second inspection for the mould and tumble drier to which we were told NO! The landlord I don’t think was the issue, it was solely down to the uselessness and lack of care from the estate agent, specifically Lisa. USE THIS ESTATE AGENT AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Head-and-shoulders the easiest house purchase I have ever undertaken, and Will Papworth at Henry Adams made it so. He never lost focus, chasing just enough to be proactive but never enough to become intrusive. As a result, it all flowed effortlessly and was over almost as soon as it began (comparatively!). Henry Adams impressed me so greatly when compared to my treatment at the hands of some of the other, frankly awful, estate agents in Horsham, that after completion I walked straight into their lettings department to sign over responsibility for letting my properties. I shan't ever bother going anywhere else.
