Absolutely incompetent bunch of property managers. Left me with a dead rat from the previous tenant - which they refused to acknowledge or investigate. Had to clean and disinfect the property myself for weeks whilst the larvae hatched. Frost's wouldn't accept there was a rat until I sent pictures. However the pest control contractors told me they were familiar with my property and Frost's were aware of the issues with vermin in the area. Exercise caution - document everything! I wouldn't even give them one star. Very poor service.

Frosts are certainly one of the more professional letting agents I've dealt with in my time. We've had contact with Lily and Emily, Lily helped us rent our flat and Emily sorted repairs etc and check-out during our tenancy. I think the fees people have to pay to letting agents generally are a rip-off, and am very glad the government is planning to make them illegal this year, it's about time! But to be fair to them, Lily and Emily were always very nice and helpful and we did feel like we were actually getting something for the money we were paying. They are also the only agents I've ever known actually supply a proper and detailed independent report on the condition of the property before and after our tenancy, which was very fair, and the only time I've actually seen one done in 10 years of renting despite every agency charging for "inventories" and the like. We also ended our tenancy early, and again Emily in particular was very helpful, she helped us arrange cleaners and repair a floor we'd damaged, and they refunded us some of the rent we'd paid because they found replacement tenants so quickly. With the rent refund covering most of the costs of leaving, considering we were trying to leave a contract early which left us basically at their mercy and they could have rinsed us for all the cash they wanted, we actually came out pretty well off, our only out-of-pocket expense was a £400 early termination fee, which was clearly detailed in the contract we'd signed and something I don't consider particularly unreasonable for what was essentially a breach of contract by us. So in summary, very nice helpful people, and they didn't completely screw us over when they could have done, so overall they're the best of a bad bunch, and that's a bigger compliment than it sounds. If I ever have to rent again I'd rent from them.

Great service on a tricky house purchase. We bought through Frost's in summer 2016. The house was extremely popular and received many offers, leading to a BAFO "sealed bid" process. Following this process, surveys revealed issues with the property significant enough to require a renegotiation with the vendor. Very professional valuation visit. We both felt that we were listened to and points we raised were taken on board. Arrived at a valuation figure that we were happy with and reflected the current market. Very professional photographs taken that show the property to it’s best. We were given the opportunity to review the details and photo’s before they went live. Viewings happened very quickly and we were kept informed all the way through; even if offers made were not up to expectations. I would have no hesitation in recommending the lettings team at Frosts St Albans. Elizabeth, Sophie and Rose are a great team who offer an incredibly efficient front line service to me as a landlord. We transferred from another local letting agent after some 20 years and was astounded by the “get it done” attitude I have encountered at Frosts. Just finalising the 5th property let through Frosts in the past 30 months and would not hesitate in recommending them on the basis of their results. Pre-let evaluations have been thorough and of immense help in refurbishing properties and with one call, re-lets are on the Frosts website and other property internet sites within 2 hours. Email and phone communication with the team is perfect and any small issues encountered during the let process are resolved swiftly and calmly.
