GoogleI would not trust these people, mislead on the sale of my property. I was told that this was a cash buyer, but only to find out when there was a delay in completion, the buyers mortgage had not come through. I reduced my price based on a cash sale, not once was I told the buyer was going to need a mortgage. Apparently the Elliot lee knew the buyers. Do not use this estate agent not trust worthy.

The buyer in question is someone we have worked with successfully on numerous occasions. They have always completed on time and do have cash funds available. We have never misled you at any point. It is true that this buyer is a cash purchaser, but as is sometimes the case, they chose to secure a mortgage between exchange and completion, which they did on this occasion.

GoogleScammers. Showed a property to me that was in terrible shape. Asked me to pay the deposit and all issues would be resolved. Nothing got resolved. Stole my deposit. Purposely don't have any contact numbers for service.
Wouldn't recommend these guys at all.
I have one child with me aswell. They were completely ignorant towards him and did not care that my child would be effected by the poor quality of the place and still stole my deposit.
They should be reported.

GoogleTo begin with Elliot Lee you can’t call them only whatsapp what is very annoying. I have booked a viewing 1 week in advance and they have called me literally 1day before to cancel due to the landlord is asking just 1 tenant to earn 75k/year what is completely fine but this they supposed to mention when i have booked the viewing not one day before. When I confronted the lady she raised her voice and continued saying this is the situation and they can’t do nothing and she also said that she have said to me over the phone when we never even spoken on the phone as you can’t contact them only by whatsapp message!
As my moving date is next weekend was quite urgent and they have decided just to deal this way obviously they have given someone else more convenient the property. Very unprofessional staff and very rude!!
This is the second time i have tried to rent from elliot lee and first time i have made an offer and they have called me saying someone made an other offer on the property so if i want to offer more what sounded very doggy obviously they tried to get more money out of me the way they dealing with properties is just ridiculous!
Good luck to anyone trying to rent from EL!

Hello Varga, thank you for your feedback, our aim is to make the clients experience as smooth as possible and we find that using a digital format such as online or WhatsApp in the initial stages of registration the most efficient and user friendly way to onboard tenants into the system. We then give out direct dial numbers to our client so we can manage call volumes and prevent people having to be on hold, most people have complemented us on the convenience of this method . As you are proabably aware we are dealing with an unprecidented number of tenant enquiries on a limited number of available properties so this has to be managed in a way that we can service every customer. The property in question was actually removed from the market by the Landlord the day before our scheduled appointments so unfortunately there was several dissapointed potential tenants and it was not a case of giving it to someone more convenient as you have put it.
I will listen back to the calls and review them and you are more than welcome to book an appointment with me to listen back on those calls. Of course I will discuss with the staff member in question if I find the service level not to be as expected however as branch manager, I know this would be extremely out of character for them and struggle to expect it will be the case.
Our Landlords expect us to get the best possible market value for their properties so if there is someone looking to pay more than the next person it is likely they will go with the strongest applicant, not sure what is 'dodgy' about that as you refer to but more like a landlord looking to make the best of their investment.
Whilst i appreciate it is a difficult time to look for rental accomodation we are also trying to manage the situtaion as best we can.
I also see you are booked into see Highfield Avenue with us tomorrow so I hope that goes well.

Despite my lack of knowledge of selling and buying property I found James to be very curtious and professional, Even though the first buyer pulled out I was still determined to sell and thats despite the ongoing cost of living crisis, so while fully aware that my property is in meed of some upgrading I had to accept a much lower asking price. GoogleElliot lee has been nothing but unprofessional since making contact. They will spam your inbox, whatsapp and phone numbers with irrelevant messages from their woefully undertrained staff at an alarming rate.
They'll chase rent that's already been paid every month whilst insisting it's your fault they are unable to internally verify this.
Happy to offer their services to night time workers so you will never get any sleep with the stampeding down the hall and the tumble dryer running at all hours, not to mention constant interruptions from the fire alarms.
They appear to only ever send cleaners to their properties before an arranged viewing. The communal areas are left absolutely filthy 95% of the time. The cleaner has been three times in the seven months I've been a tenant with this agency.
It took 6 weeks to collect the disgustingly filthy furniture we had agreed would be removed from the property before the tenancy began and provided me with an upside down blood stained mattress to sleep on.
Elliot Lee Perform frequent inspections with zero warning. They have never provided the legally required notice before showing up at the properties both themselves and when they send contractors. It is not uncommon for someone to show up at the door expecting to be let in.
Complaints are ignored or dismissed. Maintenance doesn't happen. Previous tenants have mentioned their struggle do reclaim deposits despite the legally required 'deposit protection scheme.'
If you complain about these things, their manager On-the-ball-Paul will tell you to calm down and have a beer. Maybe it's all the beers that are the problem Paul?!
On the positive side, I do like my little flat. Good location, nice size good layout and Bills are included with the fairly reasonable (for the area) rent.
