Just rented aproperty and already regretting it. They have been so dodgy and unclear on the fees. I had to ask 5 times to give me the exact numbers and only now that we have agreed and paid upfront a portion of the admin fees i manage to get the complete number. Of course if i want to back of this money is kept . So we started with 2 references 336. This was for me to fill a form with all my information. All they had to do is read them as they didn't even bothered to confirm the references. My employer was never reached by them for example. Then they asked me before we even agree to take half of the first rent (non refundable ofc). Then they were giving me the fees one by one. I would expect, like all the previous cases, that when you have a property for rent to have the figures immediately. References, admin fees, checking fees, deposit and ofc the rent the final figure at once. if i knew id have to pay for fees roughly 700 i would have second thoughts

I have dealt with a number of various estate agencies over the years, all with varying levels of competency, which I feel puts me in a good position to leave a fair review based on my own experiences . From previous experience many agencies haven't been able back up their claims of the 'A1' service they try and sell you during their valuation, which as a landlord and vendor has left me feeling flat on a few occasions, and as a result, ever so slightly cynical. During the valuation on my property, I met several agents from different agencies - some good and some who urgently need to re-evaluate their chosen career path! Anyway during ElliotLee's valuation I met Lee. Lee came across very well and most importantly spoke honestly - he gave us some good advice on some areas we could improve which would appeal to buyers, which we really appreciated - (instead of just trying to butter us up with some of the fantasy mumbo jumbo we heard from a few others just to get our business - see I told you I was cynical!) Instantly my wife and I felt comfortable with Lee's approach and the level of service he was offering. I was still sceptical though as to whether they could back this up and offer the level of service he was selling us. We went with our gut and instructed ElliotLee and are so glad that we did. I was kept up to date with feedback after viewings and was given sound advice whenever I had a query. Once a buyer was found I started to deal with James up until completion. I have to say James was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. He kept me up to date with progress each week and was a reassuring voice on the phone during my stressed moments as exchange loomed! It's not often I leave reviews but I have been so pleasantly surprised with my dealings with ElliotLee I thought it only fair I give credit where credit is due. All in all I am a very happy customer and wouldn't hestitate in using ElliotLee again. Its a big thumbs up from me.

Don't give them any of your personal details, when they send you emails they include their ENTIRE email list. This now means your email address is shared with hundreds if not thousands of other people who have signed up to them. Can't comment on the staff but it seems to me they are incompetent with basic computer/email skills
