GoogleWe were impressed from start to finish. We recieved several valuations from different companies but Jonathan stood out as by far the most professional and knowledgeable. As well as being easy to contact, Kelly went above and beyond to make sure the entire process was as smooth and stress-free as possible, and the solicitors they recommended were absolutely faultless. It often felt like we were the only ones in the chain where everything was running perfectly! Thanks again.

GoogleWe can't fault the service we got from all the staff at Dacres, one of the most frustrating things about buying and selling a house is the lack of communication between all parties. They kept us informed all through the process with all the information we needed, plus they were always pleasant and easy to talk to

GoogleFrom start to finish Dacre, Son & Hartley were brilliant, always kept up to date with the sale. They chased any issues with potential buyers and found the right purchaser for a speedy sale. I've used "dreaded" Esate Agents in the past but with D, S & H ive had no issues whatsoever. Would highly recommend to anyone. 5 stars plus

GoogleWould highly recommend Dacres of Ripon if you are thinking of selling your home. Claire the manager and her colleague Jack are just brilliant they are so helpful and so friendly. Without them I wouldn’t have got through the sale of my home they helped me all the way with paper work I didn’t understand and nothing was too much trouble to them they always made me feel welcome when I called into find answers to some of my paper work and have a chat and a laugh. So Thankyou Claire and Jack for looking after me. Much appreciated from Andrea 😊

GoogleA very poor experience. We instructed Dacres in Guiseley and a key selling point they offered was the local branch network, as we wished to remain in the area. After taking our instruction they promptly closed the Guiseley branch - the agent of the retail unit has confirmed they exercised a break clause in the tenancy, therefore would have known they were closing the branch while telling us they had local knowledge and presence. This is frankly underhand, even in a profession which has a bad reputation. They failed to remove the For Sale board despite several requests to do so - at one point saying the 'board man couldn't find it' - despite the fact it was lying on the ground in the front garden. Avoid this agent - there's plenty of others. - As they closed the Guiseley branch I am leaving a 1 Star review on the earest local branches in the area of our property search.

GoogleI had such a positive experience working with Will Shakeshaft-Gee at Dacre, Son & Hartley of Burley in Wharfedale. Will is an absolute gem; so patient, helpful and genuinely kind. Nothing was ever too much trouble and he really took the time to understand what I was looking for. I’ve found my dream house! His communication has been excellent throughout and I have felt informed and supported. I have been incredibly impressed by his professionalism and care. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Will and the team at the Burley office. Thank you ☺️

Failed to remove the For Sale sign despite countless requests. Communication was almost nonexistent from them. Estate agency probably has a low bar but Dacres failed to clear it, and failed badly.

We are naturally very disappointed and surprised by your comments, as our records show regular communication with you throughout your time marketing with Dacres. Out of the many vendor calls we have on record, on 10th October 2024 we discussed your marketing to date, during which you confirmed you were happy with the service received but were considering a short marketing break. You later provided notice of withdrawal on 21st October 2024, specifically stating “we appreciate this is a very challenging market and we have no complaints about the service or professionalism of Dacres, we have been very happy with the advice and marketing of the property'. With regard to the sale board, this service is managed by a third-party supplier. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and understand that collection was made more difficult as the board was stored in your garage. I also emailed you directly in March to confirm whether the board was still there, as the supplier had advised they attended but could not locate it. Unfortunately, I did not receive a reply to that email. The closure of the Guiseley branch was a sudden and difficult decision, and we communicated the situation to clients as quickly as possible. The same experienced team continues to support the area, ensuring our local knowledge and service standards remain unchanged. We are proud of our dedicated staff and the many positive reviews we continue to receive. Nevertheless, we sincerely wish you every success with your ongoing sale and hope you achieve the move you’re looking for.
