From our initial call to ask for a valuation to the completion of our sale, the team at Dacre Son and Hartley have been absolutely first class. There has been great communication from Claire, Jack and Andy, they have kept us informed about everything that has been going on with the sale, liasing with solicitors another local estate agent ( who could learn alot from these guys!). Their dedication, commitment to their clients and their professionalism has been in evidence throughout this whole process and they have worked tirelessly on our behalf; it is a shame that I can only leave 5 stars. Thank you to the whole Ripon team and their Surveyor Mr Briggs, I highly recommend you all.

We have just sold a property through Dacre Son and Hartley and the process with the company was the best we have experienced. Claire and Jack were outstanding in their attention to detail as was Omar the photographer. Without their input we would never have exceeded the asking price. Throughout the process they were accessible on every occasion and were able to offer assistance with our purchase, without their input the chain could have fallen apart on two occasions. They maintained communications between all the parties involved which was very helpful as there were some difficult circumstances involved. I don't usually do reviews but here I'll make an exception. We put our trust in Claire Tiplady who manages Dacre's Ripon Office and were not disappointed. When she valued our property we were sceptical about her suggested figure, which was higher than we expected, and questioned it. Claire explained her reasoning and was able to justify it to our satisfaction. She also talked to us about the pros and cons of when to go to market as we were in the fortunate position of being able to make that choice. The photos and the marketing brochure (we insisted on a glossy brochure) were excellent. In fact Dacres sold the house three times - the first decided they'd been too hasty after a week, the second sadly, lost their own buyer who died, and the third were a lovely couple who now live there happily with their young son (and have become our friends!). Every buyer offered a lower figure and on Claire's advice, each time she pressed for the asking price and achieved it. Really we couldn't have asked for more, and the five stars are well deserved.

DO NOT RENT HERE. Dacre and Sons will not honour theIR word, nor treat you like human being. my tenancy was due to end during lockdown, and dispute a verbal contract that I would only pay for the days I was on the property, as soon as I was out, they claimed "normal practice is to give a month's notice so you will have to pay a full months rent" Normal practice?! They have zero compassion, and see you as nothing more than a bank account to bleed dry. everyone else in the UK right now is banding together and helping out their friends and neighbors. but Dacre? no they do nothing but try and get more money out of you and use a pandemic as an excuse. shame on you. DO NOT TRUST THIS ESTATE AGENTS.
