My flat was registered for letting on a Tuesday , all formalities were done seamlessly on their user friendly portal and was let by Saturday. Fantastic support and assistance by Jamie. They dealt with problems thrown up, (many at short notice) in a professional and highly efficient manner, making, what could have been a very stressful experience, much easier for both of us. FacebookI hope no one else has to live next door to a property managed by Ashton's. Total disregard for covid rules and noise. Utterly miserable year living next to disrespectful tenants and no support from Ashton's. Think carefully before picking your agent. No surprise that there's not a single Ashton's board in our village, people talk!

FacebookWe used Ashtons as they had a good record of selling houses in our area. They came out, gave us a valuation and took photos. The property went ‘live’ online all seemed well.... We had to ring several times to request a sign for the property but I do understand they struggled with positioning at 1st. As time went by we would have a few single viewings, but not hear anything back. I had to contact them to see if the potential buyers had made comment. This was sometimes difficult and they didn’t know much about my viewing let alone any feed back. We had 3 viewings in one day and to this day did not hear a single word about how these people felt about my property. It seemed as though they have no sales plan as they constantly said they have not heard back, where other firms I know from experience would be contacting viewers trying to sell the property ( which is what I thought their job was). In the end we ended up doing a house swap with a family members friend. We had a unfortunate and difficult time with the sale ( solicitors and planning etc) and it took about 5 months for the sale to be completed. At no time in this 5months did we hear a single word from Ashtons, to see if things were ok, if we needed any help or anything. I got the feeling they had no interest in me or my property but they still took their “FULL PRICE” on a house they didn’t sell as we arranged the swap ourselves. I hope others get treated better than we did as even now, in our new house my experience with them still angers me and I have advised friends to avoid them.

FacebookIf your thinking of renting from Ashtons. DONT!!! the amount of problems I have had with the house I currently live in which Ashtons have left unresolved is shocking. Firstly the bathroom, the roof was ready for literally coming through which they left for about 7/8 months of me reporting, one of them come out and agreed it was ready for coming through, did I hear back from them for another month or two? About fixing this? NO. I had to phone the council due to me having two small children in the house, would Ashtons take responsibility for the roof falling on one of my children? I think not. The council was absolutely disgusted that my bathroom was left like that. As soon as the council give them a deadline, the work was carried out the week later. Now why should it take for me to report them, for them to do their jobs? Not one job I have reported to them has been fixed, my side gate blown off last year, was promised for this to be fixed last year and was still waiting. I went and got it fixed myself in the end. Another problem is the heating I’ve been reporting for months on end, half the radiators don’t work in the house which results in me having to leave the heating on for hours just to get the house a normal temperature. My little girls room is absolutely freezing she’s not slept in her own bed for months. Knowing I have two small children have they rushed to get this fixed? Absolutely not. Looks like I’ll have to get onto the council again. I won’t even get on to the no carpets in bedrooms I was promised by the landlord themselves, and the kitchen falling apart due to a leak which was left for weeks also last year. I have paid for carpets my self, to better the house, new flooring in the bathroom, new blinds throughout the house. I’m doing my half in making sure the house is looked after, shame the landlord and Ashtons can’t.

GoogleBought a new home a few months ago via help to buy marketed at Ashtons. Even though we were in the peak of Covid outbreak the process to view was sleek. Verity was our main contact as she was knowledable, passionate for her role and responded almost immediately to any problems we had. We used their recommended solicitor and mortgage advisor and I cannot recommend them all highly enough. Myself and my partner are very happy in our new home and I must also say Oakbridge homes are exceptional in their attention to detail in their product. I cannot recommend Verity, Ashtons, Taylor Walton, Dan Percy and Oakbridge homes highly enough. A cass product all made possible for myself and my partner by a class partnership working well together.
