A Personal service

We purchased a flat through Moginie James a year ago and since then they have been our letting agents. The personal service we have received is a model that many other agencies should follow. Everyone we have dealt with has been professional and knowledgeable; providing an excellent link between ourselves and our tenants. When an issue has risen communication between all parties has been prompt and efficient - which makes life easier for everyone involved.. Inventories, check-ins, references, repairs , licensing, trade recommendations have all been dealt with promptly and effectively.

An easy and honest experience

It's the second home I have rented through Moginie James and Julie showed me round both times. She is a cheerful and direct person, and honest too, a quality which is most appreciated and less common in letting agents. My partner and I viewed at least a dozen properties with Moginie James throughout 2015 and 2016, as well as many others with agents in central Cardiff. We always looked forward to viewing a Moginie James property as we knew we'd get friendly and helpful advice without feeling pressured. They were by far the best and most professional agents we came across in Cardiff. Although we eventually bought a house outside Cardiff we are very grateful for all the help that Moginie James gave us over the past year or so.

Purchase of property in Roath

We would like to comment on the excellent service that we have received recently when purchasing a property in Roath. From day one, Moginie James was the most helpful of all the Estate Agents that we visited in the area and we were always greeted with a smiling face. A number of agents helped us find the right property, and each one had rapid and accurate access to our details and file. Once a suitable property was identified, the team were helpful in the negotiations, and went out of their way to provide access to the property whenever needed. Their recommendations for surveyors and solicitors also proved reliable, which was especially useful as we are not local. We were particularly impressed with the availability of the Sales Progression Team, who were always on hand to answer questions and move the purchase along. We would like to make a special mention of Michelle, who helped through all of the stages from agreement to exchange and completion, and also for some very helpful advice thereafter - Thanks to all.at Moginie James for a great service and experience working together.

Roath house sale

Following a bad experience with another Estate Agent that is prominent in the Roath area, I went to Moginie James with a rather poor view of estate agents generally. I've had my opinion changed by their excellent service. Help and advice on how to present the property, lots of viewings, prompt and useful feedback, email and telephone contact ahead and after viewings. All this activity has led to a sale. They managed to achieve this in a few weeks when the other agent couldn't get close to it in 8. I'll be using them again and have no reservation at all in recommending them.

Amazing letting agency in Cardiff

I have had a business relationship with Moginie James since 2009, when I purchased my first investment property through MJ.. A highly professional and seamless transaction impressed me so much I have since bought more investment properties from them. I now have two HMOs in the Splott area of the city and another in Roath, which I purchased through MJ last year. With four tenants in each of my HMOs, therefore twelve in total, I decided it would be best to move away from trying to manage these tenancies by myself and handover my small but precious portfolio to an organisation that would meet my very high standards. I'm not just saying that, I do have really high standards; I have sought out how to become a member of the Landlord Association Wales, joined the National Landlord Association and worked with the Private Sector Housing of the local authority to ensure I am meeting the most professional letting standards possible - even by doing little things like fitting interlinked smoke alarms in all bedrooms not just the communal areas where they are required. This is because it is vital to me that I am providing my tenants with the highest standards of rented accommodation and looking after their welfare as best I can. It is with these standards in mind I have this year instructed MJ to source suitable tenants for each of my properties, carry out all the relevant checks and to fully manage them. Whenever any issues may arise, the communication from MJ is second to none. I have no doubt that I will continue to work with MJ to source my tenants for hopefully years and years, going forward. I am in the process of purchasing a very different type of investment property from them - a one bedroom apartment in Cardiff Bay; I look forward to working with MJ to help me source and manage tenants with this one too. Keep up the great work and excellent communication that you give time and time again. Thank you.

Having sold my last property through MJ 4 years ago and being impressed by the level of service that I recieved I recently returned to them to put my current house on the market. Wasted near two weeks of our time "waiting for confirmation from landlord" that repairs would be carried out before we moved into the property ( after showing us a property that in no way matched the pictures they had put up) before telling us the landlord had found tenants while they were waiting for a response.
