GoogleWOULD NOT RECOMMENDED!!
Previous tenant of a flat Northwood managed. Ignored all emails of repair work needing carried out including condensation, broken windows, damp, mould etc.
A member of their staff allowed themselves into the property when they believed it to be empty. Only I happened to be in the bath, heavily pregnant when I caught this member of staff snooping.
When it comes to checking out, they split hairs to gain as much deposit as possible, however no issues were raised on monthly inspections.
Needed persistent nagging to provide me with a replacement smoke alarm and carbon monoxide detector.
Found staff to be very unprofessional and condescending and will be avoiding Northwood like the plague.

Yes, I did receive an email from yourselves to inspect the property in January 2017, I however cancelled this appointment 11 days before a member of your staff allowed herself in to the property which she believed to be empty and began snooping around. (All members of your staff were aware that this appointment had been cancelled)
As for the help we received upon checking out, this was minimal if any. I got a patronising and snobby attitude from the branch manager of all people.
Its a shame the interest which was shown to the property when we checked out, wasn't shown throughout our tenancy. But of course, when there is a considerable amount of money involved, hairs were most certainly split.

Thank you for using our complaints procedure, we will try to deal with your concerns quickly through the proper channels. I am sorry you felt the need to leave this review but In order to help other google users it may be of value to point out that any visit to a property is notified in advance and you are right to say we had no concerns following inspections. We do not gain from deposits, as this dealt with by an independent government backed scheme designed to protect the tenant in these matters. We would rather return all the deposit as claims cause a great deal of work for us but we must protect the landlords interest as well. We are disappointed by the remarks you have left given the help the staff gave you when you were moving out but you can rest assured that we take complains very seriously and will deal with all your accusations in the proper manner. Letting Agents often seem to be working more for the tenant than the owner and do little to help maintain economic rental levels in the face of competition.
Not so with Northwood.. their advice is based on an excellent interpretation of local market forces and owners do well to listen to them. Doing so has seen very few voids during the 10+ years we have worked with them despite very adverse trends in this area of the Country.
Their professional approach resulted in us choosing another branch of Northwood in the West Midlands for another rented property and we've not been disappointed.

I recently rented an apartment from Northwood Newcastle and had a great experience. As this was the first time I'd rented without a flatmate, I was particularly nervous, but Northwood were very reassuring and helpful throughout the entire tenancy. I've never had a letting agent so professional and honestly couldn't fault the service I received, and also the help when it came to checking out (and getting my deposit!). I started using Northwood for letting my property a few years back but only asked them to manage it last year and I wish I had done it sooner! They took all the headache away from me from viewings to end of tenancies all the way to regular inspections and deposits. I don't really get involved at all. I haven't had any gaps in tenants and the rent is always in on time with an emailed invoice so perfect for me. GoogleI would like to say a massive yes yes yes to Northwood Tyneside especially the letting side of the company.
They look after multiple properties of mine. Not only do they guarantee 52 weeks rent but they have a 1st class maintenance team behind them.
Any issues they have an engineer at the property same day and problem solved.
It is this type of service my tenants stay at my properties.

GoogleFraudulent invoices!
Scam clients with fake cleaning bills, fake cleaning company that’s addressed from one of their workers.
Alexander McDougall who also works for Northwood apparently owns the cleaning company they use to invoice their tenants for cleaning bills after they leave their rentals. Even though the place is left spotless!
Fraudulent!!
Avoid them!!
