I have had mixed experiences with estate agents in the past where they have had hidden costs included within the agreement, impossible to contact, to mention only a few. Im happy to say Mansons have none of these issues..

GoogleMansons have been handling the letting of our apartment in Beadnell for 3 years now and we couldn't recommend them more highly. They manage all our bookings through Holiday Lettings, dealing with guests efficiently and professionally whilst keeping us fully informed and checking in with us when there are any queries that need our input. They sort things out for us and are quick to respond to our emails and phone calls if we need any advice or want to book out the apartment for ourselves. As we live a distance from the apartment, their ability to smooth out the humps, bumps and issues that come with letting a holiday apartment is hugely appreciated; their service goes well above and beyond what you'd hope for and we really couldn't make it work without their help.

This is my first time to move, though I have lived in Newcastle for three years. I went to different agencies before coming across Mansons. Previous experiences were really tiring, as properties are mostly disappointing(look different from website picture) and the offices gave stressful feeling.
I didn't expect much when I visited Mansons office, but surprisingly the office is very nice and peaceful and the staffs are friendly and helpful and most importantly they don't push you like most Sales did. I signed to the first property that I viewed. All the processes have been pretty easy and straight-forward. Really glad to find this one! Both the property and the agent. Hope this satisfaction is to be maintained in future encounters.

They responded to my initial request and come out the following day to a property I wished to rent. Mansons experience and understanding of the type of people who wold be attracted to the property, along with their extensive local knowledge, allowed them to quickly assess the the market and make a recommendation on the most appropriate rental to charge. They also went to lengths to explain the process involved and also the modifications that were required to make the property meet legal requirements. They even offered to provide costed contractors to carry out these modifications if required. All in all a thoroughly professional service; I cannot commend Mansons highly enough.

I couldn't recommend them more highly, their staff are a real credit. Excellent local knowledge and importantly for us they are not afraid to pick up the phone and give you constructive feedback when required, something some agents forget but is essential when you have a large portfolio to maintain.
Communication and customer service is excellent, it is reassuring to know if we send someone an email a response is not far away, especially when time is limited.
You only have to look at some of their professional property pictures in advertisement to see they understand that something so minor can make such a big difference.

Firstly Mr Manson came out to our property and spent a long time with us discussing the property and the service that Manson's could provide. The fact that the owner of the company takes time to see us, as prospective clients was, to us, a plus.

GoogleI moved into my property this week. Upon viewing, the whole experience was the best I have ever experienced. The Team have pulled out all the stops for a quick move and I’m very impressed.
I was checked into my managed property and was impressed with the service I received. They took photos of its condition and of all items that are in my apartment. Everything that is listed in the apartment was validated, even down to light bulbs!
The service from start to finish has been the best I have had from any agent in the north east.
A big thank you to everyone at Manson’s. I will be recommending them to my friends and colleagues.

allAgentsCan't fault Mansons service
Can't fault Mansons service at all - queries were dealt with promptly by all the members of the team we spoke to, always courteous and arrived promptly for all visits to the property. Nothing was too much trouble for Gavin who rushed through some paperwork so we could get the keys as soon as possible, especially as this was also during the busy student letting period.
The offices are modern and clean and they also do a nice cuppa!
Have now dealt with Mansons on a couple of occasions over a number of years and would not hesititate to use them again.

Terrible agencey. The staff are rude, unhelpfull and favour the landlord rather than helping both parties as they should. When i was in the proccess of signing up for the property the letting agent was rude and abrubt on calls if there was any delays in waiting for information or dates etc. Also when i was leaving the property and had a dispute with the landlord over a damp/condensation isse that damaged 2 beds, bedding, clothes, shoes and put my general health at risk i instructed the agency to send a damp survayor , which they finally did but then they refused to send me the report because the landlord instructed them not to ! althoigh i raised the concern with the flat and had many belongings destroyed. The agency allowded tje landlord to take control anf hide evidence. disgusting service

Dear Ashleigh Further to your recent review, I have identified the property from the damp/condensation issues noted in your review. I was really disappointed to read your comments. You highlighted your concerns and previous loss of items to Mansons on the 23rd April 2013, prior to this you had liaised directly with the landlord. Mansons would not advise dealing direct with a landlord as we would liaise with them on your behalf. Your original query was to continue with the tenancy but, on a solo basis which the landlord declined. I then liaised between yourself and the landlord regarding compensation for the mould on the mattress and bed slats. I supplied you with all the information you required to take this to arbitration with My Deposits and also advised the process for Small Claims Court, I also advised, although the landlord wanted to withhold the report on the property this would be made available to you once a dispute had been logged with My Deposits. It was most certainly not a case of us allowing the landlord to hide evidence, they have the right to ask us not disclose reports to you as you had the right to ask us not to disclose some of the contents in your correspondence. To reiterate if this had gone to arbitration with My Deposits or to a Small Claims Court all correspondence from all parties including any reports would have come to light, therefore Mansons had nothing to hide. The dispute has now been resolved as you asked Mansons to put a further offer to the landlord, the landlord accepted the offer. As for staff being rude and unhelpful at the beginning of your tenancy, Mansons take complaints of this nature very seriously and this will be fully investigated. If you wish to discuss this further please do not hesitate to contact me or alternatively the director Mr Manson is fully up to speed with this property and will be happy to discuss this with you. Discrace the company are s***, the flat we rented with our 6 month old child started leeking through the roof into the babies room in October and mansons wouldn't do any thing about it till feb wen we left and they found another tenant. The windows did not shut properly in the property so we couldn't heat it up and they wouldn't do any thing about it. Now wer still fighing to get our bond back after we passed te inventory when we checked out an handed in all our final bills there still trying to keep it by saying wer just finishing this last bit of paper work and we will get it tomorrow this has been going on for 3 weeks now. DO NOT USE THEM!!!!

If this is the case, your bond was in fact returned on the 27th February 2013, 5 days after you were released from your tenancy agreement and the landlord began repair works. My friends and I used this agent to rent a student house from in 2010. Whilst the house was adequate, their handling of the entire system was unprofessional and infuriating.
The major point that got me was their handling of returning the security deposit paid at the start of the year. The landlady tried to charge us far far too much for minor repairs, which we questioned and queried with the landlord through an excruciating process with Mansons. We were patronised and lied to at every stage, and ended up getting back less than what we had agreed. The letting agent should be impartial to both sides, but they were completely backing the landlady in her efforts; perhaps they get a cut of the winnings...
I would never recommend this agency to anyone, not even to rent the smallest, cheapest shed. There are loads of letting agents in Newcastle, dont go for this one.
