(updated review) Just wanted to update my original review (below) to reflect the truly poor communication we've had from Chris Lambrou since we signed our lease. We have had to phone / email so many times for various updates - he repeatedly says that he will get back to us with an update by a certain time and never does. Doesn't even call back later with an update, leaves us to chase him, which is exhausting. For example, I asked him about 5 times over several weeks to share the previous tenant's details with us so we could arrange furniture transfer - he kept saying he'd do it and didn't. I eventually stopped chasing because I didn't have the energy. It got to the point where we were only put in touch with the current tenants on the day they were selling their furniture. Turns out the current tenants had also been asking for our details to be exchanged, but nothing had happened. This could have been completely avoided had Chris done his job. It's like once we signed the lease we just weren't a concern anymore - on to better money-making ventures perhaps. Honestly appalling. We are tired of chasing - it's not our responsibility and yet nothing seems to get done or communicated unless we do. We're moving in a week and told them we are going on holiday now until the day before we move in, and still haven't been put in touch with the referencing company to find out when we can get the keys - which means we don't know when we can book our moving van for. MG won't even give us the reference company's details so we can do it ourselves - believe me, I'd rather we didn't have to go through MG as a middle man, given the poor reliability and quality of service. We've now been told we'll just have to wait for an email from the referencing company in the middle of next week, while we're on holiday, days before we move in. How was this the only way forward? I'm sure you can do better MG? ________ (old review) We recently signed a lease for a flat through Martyn Gerrard - our agent was Chris Lambrou, who was helpful and responsive throughout the whole process. Rented a property through this estate agent this year in February and it is the worst experience I have every had. The agents took zero responsibility for the state the property was handed over to us in, which was a terrible one, and washed their hands of us immediately as they were not the managing agent. Understandable that they are not the managing agent however this was not an issue some time into the tenancy agreement it was an issue, or rather several, with the condition the property was handed to us in. There was rubbish and leftover belongings throughout the whole property, no working kitchen lights, no working shower, no access to our balcony, no working smoke detector, work that was promised to be done wasn't, professional clean hadn't been done (also promised) and we had no mattress provided, a clause that had been written into our contract. when contacted, we were lied to by the agent Steffi Kampoli, she told us the Landlord was on his was over with a mattress, turns out he wasn't even in the country. A company and it's employees with zero morals and zero shame.

Recently sold my house through Martyn Gerrard Muswell Hill and was so impressed with how the whole process was handled by Chris Antoniou. Every step was made clear to me, communication was very clear and professional. Chris was always available to handle any questions I had and as it was my first time selling a house I had quite a few! He was always easy to get hold of and extremely helpful. Chris was proactive the whole way through the process from arranging viewings all the way through to the day of completion, he helped keep things moving on both sides. Had a great viewing last weekend with Shuhan Ali at Martyn Gerrard. Shuhan was super kind and helpful, showing us every aspect of the property, explaining all the details, and even had all the extra info handy, such as exact service costs, ground rents, as well details on the leasehold agreement re: extensions, etc. He even had helpful suggestions on how the some aspects of the interior could be tweaked to suit our specific needs and concerns. I must express that over all the years with MG and experiences with other agencies I have never come across an agent that has put so much effort and time to a tenant. I want to say a massive thank you to Fatmir, who has helped in so many ways and gone above and beyond to assure my requests and managing my end of tenancy. MG never let Fatmir go! Very rare to find someone who has passion and quality services that can deliver and provide quality experiences, especially for tenants. Most off all agencies and staff put all the effort into landlords, and even though my 8 year of tenancy has ended, the process and service I got from Fatmir was as if I was to continue my tenancy and wasn’t treated as one of many.
