Behind their posh and “professional” looking offices here is the treatment you can expect from them; 1. They claim not returning “parking permits” at the end of the tenancy, even if you did. 2. They claim you putting nails on the wall, when you haven’t. 3. They use their management keys to access the property unsolicited/unauthorised, and they claim that this wasn’t the case. Unfortunately appalling tenancy service despite communication efforts, I find them horrible deal with. Please stay well clear away from this company. You have been warned!

When things go off without a hitch, it’s often difficult to get a real feel for the individual or organisation providing a service but my move into a property managed by Charters has had more than its fair share of hitches, so I feel qualified to offer comprehensive feedback. Thankfully, Charters have done everything within their control, often going beyond their obligations, to ensure that my family and I are happy and secure in our new home. The proficiency and responsiveness they have demonstrated in the swift and satisfactory resolution to issues, has been unparalleled by any other agency I have experienced in 20 years of renting. We have had the pleasure of dealing with Suzanne and Tracey and I cannot praise them highly enough. It’s incredibly reassuring to know that any maintenance issues we have will be left in their capable hands, the fact that they are both wonderful people is just the cherry on the cake. It’s clear that Charters care deeply about their business but what elevates them from other agencies is, they understand what a vital part of the business their customers and tenants actually are.

Such was Charters incompetence that I had to communicate directly with the buyer to get things done! Even when we did this, Charters still claimed they were "waiting for information" even though we had BOTH provided that information. Charters also have a cosy relationship with Dutton Gregory Solicitors (family members working at both firms - wink wink) and they recommend each others services. And then give the most shockingly bad service. They charge a lot of money, do nothing for it and are very pompus. I've bought and sold circa 15 houses before and Charters are by far the worst estate agent I've dealt with. Bishops please come back!
