Belvoir were exceptionally helpful to us, not just in searching for the appropriate house viewings, but also with their persistence in the purchasing process with the seller. This was perhaps the most important thing for us and ensured that our sale process, as well as the league time of the sale, was quick and relatively painless. We highly recommend Belvoir estate agents for their professionalism and for the personal care shown during the entire sale process.

We rented for six months with

We rented for six months with this estate agent. We have moved around A LOT and dealt with many estate agents and this has been the least flexible and rudest agency so far. Due to unforseen circumstances, we were keeping a small cat in our property and thus in breach of our contract. (This is an unfurnished house we are paying £995 a month for and where we offered to compensate the landlord for ANY damage to the property and get the carpets professionally cleaned.) The issue here is not that we were forced to move out due to this incident, but the way it was dealt with and the lack of flexibility and rudeness from the estate agents when it came to communicating with the landlord. Whilst it is perfectly acceptable for the landlord to say they want no contact with the tenants and prefers to deal with you via the estate agents, you have no insurance whatsoever that the message gets conveyed accurately from you to your landlord. I would personally not recommend renting through this estate agent.

The staff are friendly, polite and helpful and usually very quick to respond when communicating by email or phone. I have found them to work very hard to help sort out any problems and deal with any issues that I have with my property. I highly recommend them as both lettings and estate agents.

Efficient and friendly

Belvoir has managed my rental property in Basingstoke for several years now and the service is, as the title suggests, both efficient and friendly. I am contacted quickly regarding any maintenance issues at the property and they will always arrange to have problems sorted out within a day. The staff are also always on had to give advice and have both the landlord's and the tenant's interests as a priority. I would highly recommend their services.

We rented a house from Belvoir for about 18 months and were always happy with their service. Any issues with the house were always resolved quickly and staff were always friendly whenever we phoned up or emailed about anything. Our checkout and return of the deposit was done quickly, with Shahida making sure everything was complete within a few days of the final inspection. We would recommend Belvoir if you are looking to rent.

Having seen the number of

Having seen the number of negative comments for Belvoir Lettings and read through them I wanted to make it known that although there sounds to be some 'bad apples' in the Belvoir tree that by no means represents the other offices. I have been using Belvoir Basingstoke for the past 2 years and have absolutely no intention of moving to another agent at this time. After interviewing many other agents in the area I found Belvoir to be the most honest, open, trustworthy and impartial agents to deal with and they have only got better over time. I have never experienced any 'leaning' toward the tenant or the landlord, consummate professionals. This may be coming across as a fraudulent review but believe me if they were not putting the effort in that they are doing with me I would be the first one to pick them up about it. Having read some of the experiences people have had with other offices I felt it important to try and balance things. I cannot speak for any of the other offices having not let through them but what I can say is anyone looking to do business with the Basingstoke branch should definitely not rule them out based on instances else where in the country/company.

I can't disagree more with

I can't disagree more with the negative comments that I have just read about Belvoir. I am in a single-sex partnership and have experienced no end of bigotry and discrimination from other agents in Basingstoke, but have found Belvoir to be absolutely wonderful. They were originally recommended to us by Polish friends, who coincidentally who had experienced similar discrimination elsewhere. Whilst I have selected "I am a tenant" which was true, I am now in the process of moving through work and the house which we have recently bought will be given to Belvoir to manage as a direct result of the manner in which they managed the property we lived in. Nothing was ever too much trouble, they always kept appointments, dealt with maintenance issues promptly and I can't imagine them ever entering a tenant's home without their knowledge and permission. And, they are not lying when they say their coffee is good. Not only are they professional and accommodating, but they all (Laura especially) have a great sense of humour. Really great folk to deal with.

I have used Belvoir for tenant find (live locally so manage myself) on two occasions. They are really really excellent. They provide a good old fashioned personal service with all the benefits of the digital age. They are honest, charges are reasonable and completely transparent. I will always use them for the two properties that I let out. I am particularly impressed by their diligence and attention to detail in the whole tenant vetting process.

I cannot fault the lettings or maintenance departments at Belvoir. The lettings department put 100% into their efforts and quickly found me replacement tenants when my first ones moved out after only one year. The maintenance department are prompt and efficient and take much of the stress out of fixing issues with their friendly and caring attitude. I certainly wouldn't think of using any other agents as my experience with Belvoir has always been positive.
