Couldn’t have asked for a better service

I had been in my property on South Beach for over 50 years and the prospect of selling was daunting to say the least. I had 4 estate agents to give valuations and discuss their services.Alayna, Branch Manager/Valuer from Rook Matthews Sayer Blyth branch stood out from all the rest. Apart from giving a very realistic valuation for my house she explained the full sales process and I felt confident enough to put my sale in the hands of her office. She had extolled the skill of her office staff and they certainly lived up to her description. From Gillian and Suzanne to Sharon and Michelle they were all so helpful, knowledgeable and proactive. Within a couple of days we had a sale agreed and everything was passed to Dawn the Sales Progressor. What can I say about Dawn? Excellent service and she dealt with everything promptly ensuring that contracts were exchanged and the sale completed within 8 - 9 weeks.A huge thank you to the whole team at RMS - they were always available to answer any queries I had. Apologies if I have missed any of the Team Member out. I can’t recommend them highly enough.

Best mortgage advisers ever Alistair…

Best mortgage advisers ever Alistair Bowman. He’s gets 20 out of 10 from us: He goes over and above we couldn’t have asked for more. He made sure everything was chased up without us even asking. The process was as made as simple as it could possibly be. Alistair removed all the stress from the buying process. In the worse possible time to get a mortgage. Everyone fighting for the best deal & remortgaging before the rates went up. Rates were increasing by 0.5% every week - few days. Anyone thinking is it worth getting a mortgage adviser do not hesitate with Alistair. We have friends who are buying at the same time & it’s taking much longer than ours. We offered on the 31st May and completed even with a delay from vendor having an operation 12th Sept 2022. Our friends are still waiting on completion and had lots of errors with paperwork which Alistair made sure we didn’t. Alistair treats you very professionally but also as a friend. Even checking in when there wasn’t any further update but he let you know that he’d been checking & not just letting the process drag on. Managed hiccup we had with Survey coming back as lower value than we had offered. This was managed professionally and with Empathy. As the house was being sold via RMS he was also able to speak to the estate agent Wendy who helped us out to (managed what could have been a no sale & vendor taking the house off the market, to being realistic and understanding for both sides which she didn’t have to be) on our behalf making aware of difficulties even when this isn’t normally something they would do. We secured the house at the price advised on full survey, and in the most efficient timescales possible. Alistair made sure we were aware every step of the way, we didn’t have to chase up at all. Alistair has even checked in after everything is complete which I’m sure most advisers don’t do. He’s on my friends list now😊, we gained great insight in to the process that none of our friends have. Absolutely couldn’t get better than Alistair don’t hesitate to sign up with him. He even checked rates right up to that last minute making sure we had the best deal. I hope Alistair gets the rewards he deserves. We wouldn’t think of possibly going elsewhere. Would definitely recommend 🤩🌟

Friendly yet professional staff

We recently moved from Newcastle to Leeds, and RMS in Gosforth dealt with the sale of our house. The staff there were always friendly, efficient, helpful and professional. David Jones (Branch Manager) came to carry out the valuation, and Natalie Best was our point of contact, with Eve Morley filling in when Natalie was unavailable. Throughout the process, Natalie supported us, and often chased up solicitors on ours and the buyers’ behalf. This made what was a very stressful and lengthy process all the more bearable. My wife and I recently sold our house in the North East, to relocate to Poole, Dorset. We used the services of Rook Matthew Sayer in Hexham to sell our house. Cheryl from RMS visited our home to run the process past ourselves, and marketed the property for us. We have always used RMS when we have bought and sold in Newcastle. They were kind enough to allow us to access their services in person last year to ease our submission of relevant papers, etc, as Covid restrictions were becoming hard to circumvent and our time in Newcastle was limited.Our purchase was complicated by the resistance of the seller to move on as they promised and I felt ( at times) that I was leading the process to seek clarity. This of course could just be me feeling the stress of a home move from Birmingham to Newcastle. Ellie always responded to my communication and was always available to speak to.
