The manager Ian Davy the who handled the sale of my house,did a brilliant job of making the process as pain free as possible, despite,the buyer's solicitors best attempts to make it a total nightmare. Eileen and the team are thoughtful, professional and totally understand their customers. For example when looking for a home I wanted a guitar room and a great garden for our dog. Eileen and Georgina made sure our requirements were featured in every home they suggested. That said, using her professional judgement she was able to suggest properties a little off the ‘wish list’ Eileen brings vision, ideas and excitement. They look after the small detail too! Such as returning calls and emails promptly and dealing with the conveyancer efficiently. In terms of photography Georgina and Vic are an unbelievable team. The quality of the equipment used is proven in an outstanding brochure that truly reflects your home including focussing on aspects that truly show the very best aspects of your home. I didn’t feel at all in the way ended up leaving them to it whilst I walked the dog! If you want to be well looked after and deal with professionals who know the market and area inside out then it’s Proctors every, single, time. Thank you to all.

I've had 2 valuations from this company for different properties. Both came in 15% lower than other agents (despite being the largest and highest spec home of them all), and nearby combarables, which I find amazing as every one of their other properties listed is overvalued, and stays on the market unsold for months (both new build and old). Aside from our property selling with another agent within 3 weeks of listing for what we expected with multiple offers... I find it odd there was such a disparity... especially, as the sale was to buy another property listed with them, which we missed out on - under suspicious circumstances. (Very frustrating, but these things happen). With the second valuation, they gave a loose indication of value, but it was very much predicated on, we will do this properly if you instruct us. Estate agents really fall into 2 categories, they are either great at what they do, or not so much. They unfortunately fall into the latter.

Sad to write this but I know I would have appreciated reading this if I was considering using proctors for a sale. Sold my house through them and pretty apparent from the start that they were only interested in supporting the buyer despite the fact I paid their (significant) fee. I was in a chain buying elsewhere and had lots of quite rude emails when other parts of the chain were not speeding along, and yet they introduced a buyer without a mortgage agreed in principle (despite their assurance that they did) which almost destroyed the deal and my chain. Found myself doing much of the work to sell whilst they looked after the buyer only, agreeing on my behalf to some pretty outlandish (non required) additional work. Managed to get this over the line whilst keeping the chain intact with little if any support from this estate agent. Paid the fee wondering what on earth they did to deserve such huge amounts of £ and glad I’ll never have to deal with them again. A sorry tale and don’t like leaving bad feedback - but hopefully this will help others who are selling.
