GoogleProctors were the estate agents who sold us our family house 24 years ago and they excellent. Hence, we didn’t hesitate in choosing them for when we decided to sell it. Unfortunately our sale was protracted due to changes in interest rates and a few buyers changing their minds. It took over 2 years in the end but Tim, Richard, Jenny and Angela were relentless in their support and determination to find us a buyer. I cannot recommend Proctors enough. They know the area, the current market trends and are totally professional when dealing with all the parties and their legal teams.

I dealt primarily with Charles Proctor and his excellent negotiator/follow up administrator Emma Duyckers. From the initial viewing of the property, their advice on pricing with ample evidence to back up their view and their handling of 21 potential clients who viewed over 3 weeks, I was thoroughly impressed. Very professional in a very kind and helpful way. There was no pressure to accept the first offer (we had four). They wanted to get me the best price they could but always looking carefully at the ability of the buyer to proceed. But that is only half the story. Emma's help and follow up throughout the legal process was excellent. Just 7 weeks from instructing solicitors to completion of the sale and at every step I felt they had my best interest at heart.! Thank you Proctors!

GoogleSad to write this but I know I would have appreciated reading this if I was considering using proctors for a sale.
Sold my house through them and pretty apparent from the start that they were only interested in supporting the buyer despite the fact I paid their (significant) fee. I was in a chain buying elsewhere and had lots of quite rude emails when other parts of the chain were not speeding along, and yet they introduced a buyer without a mortgage agreed in principle (despite their assurance that they did) which almost destroyed the deal and my chain.
Found myself doing much of the work to sell whilst they looked after the buyer only, agreeing on my behalf to some pretty outlandish (non required) additional work.
Managed to get this over the line whilst keeping the chain intact with little if any support from this estate agent.
Paid the fee wondering what on earth they did to deserve such huge amounts of £ and glad I’ll never have to deal with them again.
A sorry tale and don’t like leaving bad feedback - but hopefully this will help others who are selling.

FacebookBeware of this agency! We made an error of renting our flat out through them. They take months to provide us with basic information, they owe us a lot of money and generally provide terrible customer service, when we try to find out what is happening. It is a stressful and unpleasant experience.
