GoogleMr Adam Green is very helpful and responsive. He is the first estate agent in London who I find very efficient and willing to help the tenants. I rented a flat from Protico in 2017. Later my flat was taken over by another property management company, but their service was awful. It took six months for them to fix the radiators in my room, which means I spent the whole winter that year without heating! They always lied to me saying that the plumber was coming so I waited for several half days in my room but no one showed up. I finally sent a legal notice to them and they repaired the radiators the next day! It is definitely frustrating to communicate with them. But when we moved away this month I dealt with Portico again, and Adam at Portico was very responsive, sorting out problems immediately. I was amazed by their service and wish I could have had Portico being the managing agency. I also find that the Portico office is open on Saturday! Salute to the hardworking people there.

GoogleThank you to Gabriel Nottingham and his team at Portico, I was able to find an apartment in London that meets almost all of my needs fairly quickly. Gabriel was responsive, thoughtful and professional, who made the rental process a really smooth one. It’d be appreciated if the Portico’s team that handles maintenance/repairs could provide quick and straightforward answers to our questions (instead of referring us to other third-parties, etc.), but overall decent experience with them.

GoogleThe worst Estate Agents in London. Terrible property management services and a dismissive, careless attitude towards their tenants. I have never had to resort the The Property Ombudsman in order to get my voice heard, but Portico really push the limits. Could not regret renting with them more.

GoogleI used Portico for a short term let and the whole process from beginning to end was a nightmare. They are disorganised, inattentive, and the staff are incompetent. After going back and forth several times (and after signing more paperwork than I ever have before for a letting - short term or otherwise) I still had to go into the office and resign all the same paperwork as it hadn’t been filed correctly/passed on to the right person. When I finally moved into a property in Islington I was given no explanation of how anything in the property worked: no information on how to work the heating, where and if there was WiFi, rubbish collection, nothing. I was literally just handed a set of keys. When the lease was up, and after leaving the property I had to call and email about 6 different people to get a check out report (necessary to get the deposit back) and when I received it, it was for the wrong property. After several more calls, emails, messages (on my part, they never once returned a call) I finally got the correct check out report. Next, came trying to retrieve the security/incidentals deposit (which is 4x the monthly rent - higher than probably any other London letting agencies security deposit) which as it happens, I STILL have not received (almost a month after leaving said property) as they are yet to answer any calls and emails and dismissed me with an email stating that I needed to contact the owner (who I have never had any contact with) directly. I can honestly say I have never had a worse experience with a letting company.
