We were able to find an excellent property to rent through Penny and Sinclair. The pictures on the website were accurate, the viewing was arranged very quickly, the application process was smooth and the agents very supportive and helpful. We had had quite bad experiences with estate agents before (were asked to move house right in the middle of the first lockdown!), but Penny & Sinclair and especially Katherine have been very helpful and professional. We've been renting with Penny for 3 years and are very happy with their responsiveness and professionalism. Repairs, big or small, are promptly addressed and fixed. Communication is friendly and professional. We had a recent repaint request due to damp issues. Unlike other letting agencies, Penny & Sinclair took the issue seriously instead of dismissing it. We just had our walls repainted with high quality paint. The dampness has been sealed and the flat looks like new. We are very satisfied with the management team, especially Liana, and the team involved in repainting. We would highly recommend Penny & Sinclair Summertown.

My partner, friends and I were looking for a house to move into at very short notice during the lockdown. We were lucky to have Rebecca as our agent who showed us the property on her day off and answered all of our questions. We loved the property and decided to go ahead with the process. Rebecca was very knowledgeable, friendly, patient and professional throughout the whole process. I was particularly impressed at how fast she responded to my emails and how she helped me to complete the process in such a short amount of time. I felt very supported when making an offer to the landlord and throughout the entire process. Penny and Sinclair are much more professional than other agencies I have been in contact with, yet it has also been the most supportive I have felt during a moving process. We have moved in now and are still well supported by our property manager Helen who has been very helpful with handling repairs. My partner, my friends and I would recommend anyone to Penny and Sinclair whos support makes a stressful life event less stressful and more enjoyable.

Very unprofessional, suspect the company owner James Penny of working in an illegal and fraudulent way, have reported him to the relevant authorities. They will not sell your house at the price they think they can, ever, do your research online at other properties they try to sell. They also have not passed on a accurate offers either, turns out I know the owner direct of a property and my offer was not passed on. Highly concerning. Would absolutely not use this company, I am sure they are working in an illegal way.

After finding a new build property, we needed to sell our property to secure it. Then lockdown happened, however, a buyer out of the blue wanted to purchase our property. We accepted, however, Erling after being told to be honest to our buyer, told them we would be out in 2 weeks after exchange. After creating tension between us and our buyer, he moved her in to rent 3 doors down! He asked us to also pay her rent of 1300k a month, a ridiculous request in which he thought was acceptable. When questioning Erling about why he was clearly working for our buyer and not us he sent me an inappropriate email saying how he ‘liked me’ and how we had ‘connected’! He also showed people through our windows when he knew we were out. We spoke to Mr Penny who simply said we were telling a different story to Erling (doesn’t everyone!?) We are now homeless waiting for our house to be built. Our agent fees should be paid for by our buyer, however, according to Mr Penny this is non negotiable. I would not recommend Penny & Sinclair to anyone. Unless you are the buyer of course and not paying their wages! I’m not one for bad reviews but, I feel in this situation there is no other option.
