GoogleWell, where do we begin? Over 6 months ago we made an offer to Mather Marshall on a property they were selling. It got accepted! Brilliant news. In hindsight, we’ve still not received confirmation (6 months later) of the offer being accepted. We were told it would be a fast sale, as the sellers already had an offer accepted on a property that they wanted to buy. Even better news! One week later, the top of the chain falls through. These things happen. Mather Marshall did not want to release the memorandum of sale until the sellers found a property to buy. They knew that we were going to move forward and start to have surveys on the property done. They did not in anyway discourage this, therefore we proceeded, in such a way to get the ball rolling quickly. When the survey report came back, there was something that showed up. Duncan told me that what the survey was saying was not a true reflection, and didn’t need the work being suggested. This was the last time we heard from anyone at Mather Marshall. We had phoned fortnightly (approximately) checking to see how they are getting on with finding a new property. I have to say, I feel like we were an inconvenience to Duncan and his team. Each time we phoned they told us that they would contact us when the sellers had found a property, but assured us that they knew people who were about to sell their house, and that there were plenty coming on the market. After 2/3 months of chasing, we decided to await the good news from Mather Marshall that the sellers were ready to proceed. 6 months down the line, we have had ZERO phone calls from Mather Marshall to check in with us, update us or generally contact us. Everything you would expect an estate agent to do. 6 months have now passed. We are nearing 7 months and we have noticed that the property is “no longer on the market”. We have not bought it. But we have not been informed by the estate agents that this is the case. What is going on here??

Not only was the social media element great throughout the whole process we were informed and guided. Darren was attentive and went the extra mile in helping us secure our home. Even doing a follow up viewing on his day off. We can't thank him enough for his help. At the time we were also renting through Mather Marshall and Darren helped us with ending our tenancy and we are so lucky to live in a village where Darren, his family and staff go the extra mile to supporting the village and truly making this a great community to live in.

GoogleI was due to view a property at 11 in the morning after a cancelled viewing by them 3 days prior. I waited till quarter past for the agent, called the office and it turns out the property had been let in the days after my cancelled viewing. No call to let me know, and a days money lost for the pleasure. Absolute joke.

GoogleCannot fault the level of service received. Yes it took time and several factors involved that caused delays with the high number of those involved within the chain. Irrespective of what occurred the service was second to none. We have come to terms that these things happen beyond our control when buying a house but cannot thank Mather Marshall enough for their assistance through what has been a long journey for the family but finally and eventually the move happened for my parents. The area is nice and it lead me and my partner to buy on the same road next to family (well almost) few doors down just a shame it wasn't with Mather Marshall never the less my parents are happy with the transaction. We Thank you Kindly to those involved in making this happen. Best wishes Vilas Family

GoogleHad such a hard time with a previous landlord and the property and the whole team really helped us out emotionally and physically to find somewhere new. Danielle was amazing (not just because we share a name haha) so knowledgeable where othrr estate agents couldnt provide answers to basic questions - there was nothing Danielle didnt know. You can tell she is passionate about her work and cares about clients, honest estate agents (which is really hard to find nowadays). Iys the first time ive had a pleasant experience with one... Plus everytime we have to pop in, i LOVE looking at a book they have there which is all about pictures of awful estate agent property photos (i must find out the name and buy myself a copy lol) Thank you again for helping us find our HAPPY home!

In all aspects of the transaction Darren was fantastic. At the outset he was always on time, his valuation was very sensible (and achievable) and the details/photographs were spot on. We had a couple of viewings very quickly the second of which made an offer which after some discussion was raised (Darren was an excellent middle man) and which we then accepted. All pretty painless so far. Unfortunately however as the legals commenced it transpired that there was an issue around the title to one of the other properties in the chain. This issue alongside some very slow and disorganised lawyers had the potential to completely stall the process and if it had not been for Darren this might well have been the case. His endless energy and willingness to chase everyone involved to the point of making himself unpopular was what got us there in the end and we successfully completed pre Christmas in line with everyones wishes. If I ever need another estate agent theres no one else I would use.

They worked so hard to make sure our sale was completed by the end of last year, it was tough going and we are very grateful that Barry had such a good knowledge on how to get us through selling our leasehold, but we got there in the end all thanks to the team! We found Mather Marshall through social media and we really appreciated the online presence. As busy London commuters, finding a house was tricky but being able to spot ones we liked on social media was revolutionary. Darren was a great agent and saw to our every need. He was quick at responding to us and extremely kind and knowledgeable. His honesty and professional integrity were so refreshing - not characteristics often associated with estate agents! It made the whole experience of buying our house fantastically smooth and easy. On moving day, he greeted us with flowers, vouchers and a lovely scented candle, which was such a perfect touch. We highly recommend using Mather Marshall.
