Although Marsh & Parsons did not have the ideal place for us at the time and we ended up renting the property through another agent, it is my only regret that we were not able to cut the deal with Morgan. They were dealing with our checkout and emailed us one day saying the landlord wants to keep your deposit (over £2000!) so can you please confirm this is ok. We were baffled as we had been expecting to get the whole lot back having left the flat in good condition and paid £240 through Marsh and Parsons to get a professional clean. We said no and what were the reasons. We were given a list which included nails and 'structures' in the walls, a bathroom fan not working and a stain on the carpet - all of which were on the check IN report! We explained this but got nowhere so I went to TDS as obviously the landlord and agent were chancing their arm. The agent even put that the place hadn't been cleaned TWICE on their response to TDS, despite us having booked the pro clean through them, and numerous other ridiculous and made up claims. Needless to say we got our entire deposit back less £50 for nails (which were actually there before - we aren't dumb enough to put nails in a rented flat - but we couldn't be bothered fighting it). Mostly disgusted with the scummy greedy landlord but the agency should have looked at the check in report and put a stop to it and avoid putting us through the unnecessary stress they did.

I recently rented a fabulous apartment in Kew, found for me by Ben Hayes in the Richmond Office. As I was about to return to Spain everything had to be done with speed & efficiency and it was. Ben could not have been more professional but also friendly & sensitive to my circumstances. His follow up in helping to get all the paperwork, financials & legalities done promptly and effectively despite my distance was superb. I was an unusually complicated client probably and he could not have been more patient & helpful in ensuring everything got done. It was also done with exactly the right healthy dose of friendliness & humour when both were required! I could not have asked for a better agent to work with.

I just wanted to give you some feedback on Chris. He did property viewings with me last Thursday, where we did five viewings. We did another 13 viewings with four more agents over the next two days (we have an urgent need to move). Chris was by far and away the best agent we dealt with. He was thoroughly prepared, and knew the details of each property inside out. He was personable, and took real time to understand what I was looking for. When arranging a second viewing with him for one of the properties, he was quick, responsive and flexible. He was just a joy to work with! Unfortunately, the property that we have decided to go for happens to be with another agent - but if I could have chosen anyone to rent through, it would be Chris. I spoke to him today to explain, and again, he's been professional, helpful in keeping options open, and just generally lovely. In an industry where agents can have a bad name, I wish there were more like Chris. He was a superstar and I hope he gets the recognition for doing such a good job.

I am new to London and was desperately looking for a place to rent in North London. I found a Marsh & Parsons ad online, which I responded to at 2 am, and the next morning at 10 am I was arranging a viewing with them for that very afternoon! They walked me through all the details of the listing and answered all the questions I had as a newcomer ie on transit links, safety. They went above and beyond their role as an agent, including letting me know what I could (and perhaps shouldn't) negotiate for in the tenancy agreement as well as got in touch with the landlord to forward my inquiries. They were courteous, informative and very representative of my interests as a tenant. Brilliant service - one that I would recommend to anyone!

Marsh & Parson's and especially Alice Midgley have been great through the entire process of finding a flat in London. I am new to the city (and country) and was able to correspond, book viewings and discuss everything related to the move with Alice even before I stepped foot in London. She had a list of properties ready to show me as soon as I landed and did all the groundwork beautifully. She was committed in finding me something suitable based on my criteria, and listened carefully, instead of showing me a bunch of overpriced properties. George went above an beyond for us to find a property when we were extremely tight on time. The process to acquire the property which has usually been a painful one for me was extremely easy and efficient. We unfortunately had an unforeseen problem with the boiler in the property which he and his colleagues handled extremely well and they communicated all the steps that were being made almost daily. This was a problem certainly not the fault of the agent and yet George went as far as to offer me his own address to pop round and grab a hot shower.! Very pleased with all that was delivered and no doubt I will be calling on George and Marsh & Parsons in the future.

From our first viewing appointment to signing the tenancy agreement, George has been very friendly and informative, always ready to answer my questions and offer advice. He is a very dedicated agent who cares about the requirements and priorities of his clients more than making a sale, like a lot of estate agents! I got in touch with George, one of the North Kensington office estate agents at about 10am on a Monday morning. After a brief chat, he understood my requirements, gave me some leaflets with relevant properties and told me to come back at midday so that we could actually see the flats. In less than two hours George was able to drive me around and show me 7 properties, all of which were eligible and absolutely worth seeing as George undertsood perfectly my budget, my location and my size needs. He was also very clear in his explanation of what the next steps would entail, not to mention very affable and pleasant as a person. I'd highly recommend Marsh & Parsons to anyone looking for quality accommodation in the area.
