GoogleRecently purchased a property through Jan Forster and Ethan was extremely helpful throughout the process. I had some issues with my solicitor and Ethan clearly explained what actions to take and appropriate timelines, with emails answered straight away. Thanks for your help!

Abysmal estate agent I actually removed them due to the incompetence of the long Benton branch I took them to the ombudsman who are actually paid by estate agents so is a waste of time , anyway I paid twice , as soon as I moved estate agents my home sold in 5 days , everyone has there own opinions but the consistent bad reviews show them for who they are lessons learnt

Thank you for your feedback- we are sorry you were unhappy with our service. As explained to you in line with our contract, we do have a tie-in period, which is normal. Whilst in our contract, we did find a buyer for you who unfortunately decided not to proceed. We tried to help and actioned all your requests, however, you decided against our advice to use another agent whilst in our contract period. In line with our complaints procedure, the matter has been fully and properly investigated by the Property Ombudsman who found that we had acted appropriately and were not at fault. Clients can rest assured that we are a reputable and helpful estate agent.

As discussed previously, as with any agent, you do have a tie in period, which was explained to you at the time this is normal. Whilst in our contract, we did find a buyer for you who unfortunately decided not to proceed. We tried to help and actioned all your requests, however you decided against our advice to use another agent whilst in our contract period- we did advise you at the time you will incur our fee as well, if this decision was made. The matter has been investigated fully by The Property Ombudsman, who found that we had acted appropriately, and we are not at fault. Clients can rest assured that we are a reputable and helpful estate agent.

GoogleWas told that they don't do viewings after 5 on weekdays, so I had to take time off work to get to the property at 4:30. After the viewing, at 5 minutes to 5 I said good-bye to the agent and asked, just as a way of conversation, if she had to drive far in the 5 o'clock rush hour traffic. She responded that she was not driving anywhere because she had another viewing after mine. Sure enough, a car arrived at the property at this point, with the next viewers, so somehow it _was_ possible to do viewings after 5. I do not appreciate being lied to, so I will avoid Jan Forster in the future.

GoogleJan Forster High Heaton delivered a highly disappointing experience. After buying a flat and collecting the keys, I arrived to move in, only to discover that someone was already living there! The entire process was marked by a lack of attention and care.

GoogleJan Forster Estates at Heaton is a wonderful branch. The agents make you feel at ease and are very friendly and helpful. They talk you through each detail and nothing is a bother. I was selling my mothers home after her passing and it couldnt of gone any better. Thank you to all staff you are all amazing. Would highley reccomend.

GoogleShocking estate agents. Avoid at all cost! They want to tie you in for 12 weeks then do nothing other than post on right move and when you complain and ask to leave charge you £1,800 for not selling the house and threaten you with legal action.
