During my search I was struggling to find properties I liked/properties that aligned with what I was looking for. Throughout my search I dealt with multiple agencies, but Horton & Garten came out as clear winners, more specifically Shiyane’s help.
From day 1 she communicated with me on a very personal level, while also ensuring all my needs were met .
After going to a viewing from her I wasn’t keen on the property and communicated that. Instead of shrugging it off and moving on, she continued to work with me until she eventually showed me my now flat (which is incredible)
Throughout the process she listened to my needs and showed a genuine interest for what I wanted. Even up until the very end of the ordeal when we signed the contract.

GoogleThe great tenants that Horton & Garton found for me moved out recently after nearly 3 years. Aggie went about looking for new ones and suggested a more adventurous price (which I thought was rather optimistic). Within just hours they were booking in viewings and although the rental market has settled down a bit recently, secured me two asking price offers within the week.
However, due to family issues, I was forced to withdraw the property from the market and left Aggie to break the news to the potential tenants.
Aggie was uber understanding and gracious about the situation, although I felt awful for wasting their time, hard work and expected fees.
Aggie and her team were relentless in their pursuit of finding great tenants, whilst exercising the highest degree of professionalism, diligence and charm.
Of course I’ll be calling H & G as soon as the flat is ready to market again and wish to thank Aggie and her terrific team for all their help and understanding.

Reasonably mixed experience purchasing our property through H&G. Started very well indeed, but had a few issues being gazumped by another interested party at the last minute, which led to a significant jump in price. The sales negotiator also left mid-way through which we weren't notified of until a week before the completion, when we were asked to compete several weeks earlier than was requested and accepted by the vendor. We appreciate that the agent works on behalf of the vendor, but it's a shame the experience was as mixed as it was as we would have explored using them in the future, should it have been more positive.

Other less experienced agents would have found this transaction very challenging and possibly were not competent or experienced to see this transaction through to a positive conclusion. The estate agent works for the client/the vendor and not the buyer and we are obliged to report all live offers to the client and we were professional and had open discussions with you about the offer and conveyance process with my colleagues and myself included. I agree this was not a straightforward process or transaction however, often is the case there are time pressure demands “in a chain” when buying a property. Your purchase, in my professional opinion, was effectively managed by my colleague George (and myself) and I feel your comments are too harsh. When we started looking at properties, they actually remembered our brief and only suggested viewings for places they knew we'd love. After a below par experience with another company, Louise took over our sale and completely turned out sale around in a short space of time. We had a complicated probate situation within a chain, and Louise ensured we were kept in the loop and was always proactive to ensure any issue/actions that needed resolution were jumped on immediately. At points, as with many sales, the situation became pretty stressful, however, Louise and the team bent over backwards to make sure we were informed, and to be honest had to be our therapist!
