GoogleI am really disappointed with this lot. The staff are pleasant enough, but like many estate agents, they try and shaft you at the end of tenancy. We had to get a cleaner in when WE moved in, and there was crap all over the garden. I seem to remember the fridge and freezer were full of food, and the oven was grim. We let it go at the time. We were forced to move a couple of weeks before Christmas, but we still managed to get an end of tenancy cleaner in. The house was spotless when we left, as confirmed by H&L, yet they want their greasy hands on our deposit. Blaming... the garden. All we left was the junk that the landlord left!

Open and helpful about showing my friends and family the property I was buying, when I was in New York and couldn't be there. I've done FaceTime with Wendy so much that I feel like she's part of the family! Now I am in my beautiful new home! Highly recommend!

We were very fortunate to have Jacqui as sales negotiator guiding us every step of the way, dealing with all queries promptly and relentlessly pursuing solicitors as and when required. House sales are always a stresssful process and we are so grateful that Hackney & Leigh were always on hand whenever we needed them Cannot recommend highly enough, 5* plus service, and thanks again to Jacqui, a true superstar!!

We experienced some last minute difficulties with legal matters; Keira was able to intervene, using her relationships to navigate the issues and avoid a last minute chain collapse, the result being two families completing on their dream homes. Fantastic.

GoogleI was a tenant with the kendal office for 2.5 years and they were by far the best letting agent I've rented from. The application process was smooth and communication was good throughout. When I was a tenant I only had a couple of maintenance issues and both were responded to quickly and resolved in a timely manner. When leaving the premises the move out process was simple and I had my full deposit returned quickly. I'd highly recommend renting via Hackney and leigh if you have the opportunity

GoogleGreat experience with Hackney & Leigh. The whole process so far has been so smooth and the whole team is lovely. Jill was great and so friendly when coming to value our property and ensured everything was as quick and seamless as possible. She knew we wanted to move quite fast and did her best to make that happen. We had our property looking amazing and on the market in less than a week and accepted an offer just a week after that! The whole team at Penrith have kept in touch which we’ve appreciated a lot. We would 100% recommend!

GoogleWe were the buyers of a property in Keswick, however Hackney and Leigh, particularly Simon were amazing. From start to finish the service we received was top class. We were moving from York and didnt know the area, but Simon helped with sourcing relevant trades to do surveys, etc and couldnt have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
