The team advised on a marketing strategy and sold our property, for asking price, within a week. We experienced some last minute difficulties with legal matters; Keira was able to intervene, using her relationships to navigate the issues and avoid a last minute chain collapse, the result being two families completing on their dream homes. I work as a Case Manager within a Legal Services company and we used Hackney & Leigh to sell a property on from a deceased persons estate following a recommendation from another happy customer. Leigh, one of the agents specifically was brilliant! Nothing was ever too much. The process was as smooth as it could possibly have been. Everything was arranged including any works needed to be done at the property and it was never a problem. If I had not had Leigh to guide me through the process and advise in situations where needed, it would have been a much harder process as our company is not local to the property. I can not recommend this company enough!!

I can't praise the Arnside office of Hackney & Leigh Estate Agents highly enough, I have had dealings with estate agents before when I sold my parents property, however I had never previously purchased a property for myself. I was in safe hands when I did, from start to finish they kept me aware of everything that was going on at every stage of the process. This service gave me a feeling of reasurance and confidence in the company and staff! I don't know if they are lucky recruiting the right staff or have a fantastic training courses, but whatever it is keep it up you are doing the right thing.

Our property was originally on the market at a set price and with previous estate agents and no advice it was dropping fast and getting nowhere. Hackney & Leigh really saved the day! Kiera swooped in with all the relevant research to our property and were realistic yet still optimistic. Communication was consistent and quick to get hold of, the photography was brilliant and within a couple of weeks we had two offers! Most importantly things like house moves are big life moves and the Ellie and the team handled us with care and a super friendly and polite disposition which meant the world to us, very refreshing when we hadn't experienced that before. After deciding to sell got quotes from 4 local agents. 2 valuers impressed me with their knowledge and attitude but went with Keira and H&L because of their greater local coverage and our type of property. Maurice and Gail were great with the viewings. Ellie and Shannon kept us updated. We had thought of trying to sell privately, but I'm really glad we used an agent. I was a tenant with the kendal office for 2.5 years and they were by far the best letting agent I've rented from. The application process was smooth and communication was good throughout. When I was a tenant I only had a couple of maintenance issues and both were responded to quickly and resolved in a timely manner. When leaving the premises the move out process was simple and I had my full deposit returned quickly. I'd highly recommend renting via Hackney and leigh if you have the opportunity

My review is based on fact and my personal experience of using this company whilst looking to Rent a commercial unit for the purpose of running a cafe. Communications were very poor from the start and throughout the process of enquiring about the opportunity of renting the unit(s) for the purpose of running a cafe. The first issue was the advertising of the unit; it was advertised as £600 per month, however, buried deep in the description, it was actually 2 units, each at £600 per unit. To cut a long story short, after several weeks of chasing, I had to pull out of this rental, due to absolutely shocking communications and no formal lease agreement in place at the time of advertising. Hackney and Leigh suggested the delays were due to the landlord; however, having contacted the landlord directly, I was told otherwise. I personally, would not use this company again, as mentioned, this is 1 of 3 incidents over the past 10 months of using this company.
