GoogleHackney and Leigh have been professional and helpful from the beginning which included going above and beyond to arrange an early viewing of the property we were interested in. They remained helpful when there were some issues with the purchase. Ellie and Elaine deserve a special mention - responsive, polite, helpful and kind!

GoogleWe purchased a property via Hackney and Leigh. Leigh was extremely helpful especially in helping to move the process along when things got stuck higher up the chain. Without her persistence to keep the chain moving, we'd probably still be in our old house. She was very approachable and reassuring and kept us well informed throughout.

GoogleAbsolutely shocking Estate Agents. I've had the displeasure of dealing with several branches, for a number of transactions, including purchasing a business, leasing a commercial unit and buying a residential property, all of which, have caused me severe distress and been financially debilitating, due to their lies and misrepresentation. It's unfortunate they have the monopoly in the Lake District, as there are some great Estate Agents around, that are drowned by this nasty, dishonest company. Be warned, question everything; ask for evidence, if you're unsure; don't trust anything they put on their sales documentation. One of many examples, I was looking to buy a business; they suggested a new lease may be available if desired; the business was being sold for over £130k, with an existing 2 year lease, so a new lease was absolutely desired. However, after spending nearly £8k on due diligence, there wasn't a new lease available, the estate agent hadn't even discussed it with the landlord, they just added that statement to the sales documentation to make the business more appealing. Don't even bother about complaining, as you'll be dismissed and then threatened by their solicitors. The company is still being run by Mr Derrick Hackney who has lost touch with reality and seems to be far removed from the 21st Century. If there is absolutely no alternative to using this awful company, please be very careful. I hope never to use them again, in fact, I'll go out of my way to make sure our paths never cross again.

GoogleI never thought I would leave this kind of review for an estate agent. Most people who have bought or sold a property in the past will know the whole thing can be extremely stressful. The staff at Hackney and Leigh worked incredibly hard through the inevitable difficulties that arise when selling a house . Alex gave us incredible support as did Gillian and Anne Marie ; they listened to our ideas and without doubt achieved the result we wanted. Their attention to detail was excellent and the professional standard confirmed that in our view we felt we had got what I paid for. I would not hesitate to use them in the future and would recommend Hackney and Leigh to either vendor or purchaser. Thanks again to all the staff at the Arnside office. Michael and Elaine Wood.

GoogleWe've been talking to Hackney & Leigh for over 6 months now, firstly about renting an apartment in Arnside (we live in Twickenham) and now that we are here, looking at properties for sale on their books. All the staff in the Arnside office have been really helpful and informative and have arranged numerous viewings for us (sometimes at very short notice) and are quick to update us on any new properties coming onto the market. Hackney & Leigh's sales & marketing literature is outstanding, and I have mentioned to them that their photography and walk through videos really are a 'cut above' the opposition, and now that they have an aerial drone and fully licensed operators, their photographs and video content are sure to be even more dynamic - showcasing clients properties to maximum advantage.
