After numerous estate Agents, we finally choose Hackney and Leigh to sell our property for us. Right from day one, their knowledge of the local market and professional approach gave us total confidence in them. Both Ulverston and Grange branches covered the selling of our house, the teams in both offices were exceptional, very professional, knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. The communication from them all was top notch, we always knew what was happening and how the market was changing. We did experience disappointments along the way, but Hackney and Leigh supported and advised us, kept us calm, and lifted our spirits once again. They kept the website updated, by adding additional photos and videos, throughout various seasons of the grounds and surrounding landscape, which gave better visuals of the gardens maturity and the surrounding vegetation. We highly recommend Hackney and Leigh to anyone looking for a dedicated and professional team.

We bought a house recently and the vendors had chosen Hackney and Leigh. From the very beginning the staff were outstanding . The initial communication to arrange a viewing , the actual viewing and communication after. Rachael was an absolute superstar through the entire process and she was the person who handled our purchase . She always went above and beyond and when we were faced with quite frankly ineffective , slow solicitors she was the one trying to get things moving on . Always responded to emails , calls and very friendly , professional and competent . Jess also was a point of contact for our sale and was also excellent . We will always be grateful for the pro activity in a process which at times due to other parties poor service was more than frustrating . 5 star service and would thoroughly recommend .

Not surprised with the score as I have had worst experience with this company. It was far better when it was keys letting and as soon as Hackney and Leigh took over maintenance and service started deteriorating. The inspection does not happen every 6 months as it is stated in the contract - you will need to chase multiple times. Maintenance enquiries will be left unattended for months. It got so bad that the tenant had to contact me directly. If you want to give money to someone without having any work done you can choose them

Not able to sell my property in 2025 so changed to another agent and sold within 2 weeks . But it’s now springing 2026 with more buyers about . Very little communication once the agreement of sale was signed as staff changes .
